Nature and Origin

Psionic Energy is a high-density power originating from Subspace, a plane distinct from the real universe. A Psionic User can resonate mentally with Subspace and draw upon its abundant energy directly. 55

• Modern Psionic Ascension emerged from knowledge recovered from alien ruins beneath Earth; its known history extends back no more than roughly a century. 59
• Early volunteers who contacted Psionic Energy without adequate preparation died, leading to the martial-arts-based progression system used to prepare candidates for assimilation. 59
• It is intensely rejected by heaven and earth as a power that should not exist in the current time and space. 55 57
