Dust Release is a Kekkei Tōta created by fusing Fire, Wind, and Earth chakra in a specific ratio. It manifests as a semi-transparent or gray-white barrier whose shape transformation disintegrates matter into atomic particles. 166 286

Known Techniques

History

Mū, the Second Tsuchikage, developed Dust Release as a response to Madara Uchiha's Susanoo. His student Ōnoki inherited the Kekkei Tōta and became its most recognized practitioner. 159 221

During the Iwagakure conflict, Ōnoki uses Dust Release to trap and seemingly destroy Obito Uchiha after sealing him in earth. Black Zetsu partially shields Obito, allowing his surviving remains to escape despite the technique's disintegration effect. 166

Seisui studies Ōnoki's hand seals and chakra composition while observing the attack. Through Tobirama's Eye and Ninjutsu Doctor, he analyzes the Fire-Wind-Earth fusion ratio and begins reproducing Dust Release himself. 166

Seisui later displays Dust Release against the Four-Tails' jinchūriki, startling Rōshi and the Four-Tails, who consider the Kekkei Tōta exclusive to Ōnoki. 172 He also uses it to reconstruct Obito's former battlefield grave before altering the scene with Earth and Explosion Release. 191

At the Allied Forces battlefield, Seisui's Limit Separation Technique annihilates multiple incoming techniques at once. Ōnoki concludes that Seisui's Dust Release surpasses his own, with Seisui's chakra reserves creating a decisive gap. 221
