Background / History

Tang San retained memories of a previous life as an Outer Sect disciple of the Tang Sect. He devoted himself to hidden weapons and possessed substantial combat experience, though he considered himself far less seasoned than Madara. 4

He grew up in Holy Spirit Village with Tang Hao and Madara, Tang Hao's adopted son. Tang San habitually watched the sunrise and practiced each morning, while also handling domestic work in the blacksmith shop. 1 125 During his Spirit Awakening, he manifested Blue Silver Grass and initially believed it to be a Waste Spirit; the revelation of his Innate Full Soul Power gave him a path toward becoming a Soul Master. 4

Although he first offered to remain home and care for Tang Hao, Tang San admitted that he wanted to become strong. He departed for Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy to pursue that goal. 8 There, he reunited with Madara, met Xiao Wu, and developed his place within the Shrek group. 13 44

Tang San later discovered that his second martial soul was the Clear Sky Hammer and that Tang Hao was the famed Clear Sky Douluo. Titan and the Strength Clan consequently recognized him as their Young Master. 7 124 The revelation left him conflicted, but Madara's support helped steady him. 125

After Xiao Wu sacrificed herself, Tang San took her away and eventually returned to reunite with his former Shrek comrades five years later, carrying Xiao Wu in rabbit form.
