Background

Yun Shou grew up in Qing He Village and made his living fishing around Green Lake. Old Man Wang saved his life after he fell into the water, an act Yun Shou later sought to repay. His early simulations repeatedly exposed him to conscription, warfare, gang oppression, and the limits imposed by his weak beginnings. 2 105

He entered the Chu Family as a guard, where Captain Chu San’s instruction and the family’s food and medicinal resources enabled his first formal martial progress. He learned the Iron Body Technique, fought Song Yulang while pursuing the abducted Chu Xian’er, and later inherited the simulated memories, martial knowledge, physique, and internal force of a Second-rate Martial Artist. 3 4

After rapidly reaching Martial Master level, Yun Shou defeated Qing He Gang leader Xu Ruohai and took control of the organization at age fourteen. Rather than personally manage its routine affairs, he appointed Mu Jian as Left Protector and Xu Ruohai as Right Protector, then used the gang as a source of information, resources, and influence. 46 48 106

His cultivation eventually carried him beyond the Yun Yang Realm, into conflicts involving demons, the Monster Race, the Hundred Races Battlefield, Ancient Demons, Supremes, True Kings, and other domains. His humble history as a fisherman later became the basis of legends surrounding “Heavenly Human Yun Shou.” 160 258 266 287

Personality

Yun Shou is ambitious, competitive, and intensely conscious of his own growth. He often restrains his arrogance by reminding himself of stronger martial artists, but he also openly enjoys recognition, authority, and the spectacle of overwhelming opponents. 27 48 106 569

He is capable of considerable kindness. He protects fishing villages, rescues trafficked children, frees Xiao Rui, gives children candied hawthorn, and repeatedly helps Old Man Wang, Song Xiaohu, Xu Wen, and others whose circumstances move him. 49 71 79 105 129 301 541

His morality is inconsistent with his compassion. He opposes massacres and unnecessary war, yet can be ruthless toward enemies, traffickers, demon races, and those he judges irredeemable. His Blood Essence Meridian Integration Method also intensified his bloodlust and appetite for battle, forcing him to actively maintain control. 55 109 129 530

Appearance

Yun Shou is described as a handsome youth whose small frame initially conceals extraordinary strength and appetite. His appearance has changed through disguises and deliberate adjustments to his body and Vital Energy. 48 126 130 300

  • His eyes developed a conspicuous sharpness after inheriting Second-rate Martial Artist cultivation. 4
  • He can alter his appearance and outward Vital Energy structure for disguises. 127 130
  • As a youth, his immense appetite surprised diners despite his slight build. 48
  • In Martial Street, his cultivated “pretty boy” appearance initially drew contempt before his confidence discouraged troublemakers. 126

Abilities & Skills

Yun Shou can choose rewards from simulations, including cultivation, memories, martial knowledge, physical attributes, Essence, and abilities developed by other iterations of himself.

  • Inherited a Second-rate Martial Artist’s memories, physique, internal force, and combat knowledge. 4

Foundation Amplification and Essence

His defining advantage is Foundation Amplification, which improves aptitude, cultivation speed, breakthrough potential, combat power, and even aspects of Life Origin.

  • Reached at least 531% Essence amplification early in his rise, described as equivalent to roughly six times an ordinary person’s aptitude. 71
  • His Essence continued increasing through combat, resources, inherited rewards, and cultivation systems. 55 266 747

Vital Energy, Force Qi, and Gang Jin

Yun Shou’s energy control evolved from internal force to Vital Energy, Gang Jin, Heavenly Vital Energy, and True Essence.

  • Could split bluestone with internal force while still a Second-rate Martial Artist. 4
  • As a Martial Master, released Force Qi from his whole body through Vital Energy Circulation. 46
  • Developed colorless Gang Jin, allowing invisible remote manipulation and precision cutting. 105 106
  • Used Vital Energy to immobilize and punish dozens of Martial Street combatants. 129
  • Demonstrated extreme control of Heavenly Vital Energy, halving an incoming attack’s momentum and seizing opponents’ energy. 196
  • Could fly while carrying others through True Essence. 300

Foresight and Future Prediction

Yun Shou can inspect possible futures and use the information for combat, planning, scouting, and locating targets.

  • Used foresight in prolonged combat against two Heavenly Human Dao Protectors. 123
  • The Fleeting Future Body can provide approximately three seconds of advance information, enough to scout or reposition across dozens of miles. 143
  • Used precognition to locate Zuo Tianxin in the Reverse River Domain. 536
  • Uses future knowledge cautiously, recognizing that premature intervention can alter whether people are born or survive. 750

Dharma Bodies and Battle Bodies

  • Nine Souls Ice Body — An advanced Dharma Body completed in 2926, substantially increasing his strength. 138
  • Fivefold Battle Body — Revealed while subduing Holy Son Shi He and contesting a Vital Energy Crystal Mine. 196
  • Six-Complete Battle Body — Identified by the Demon Race as Yun Shou’s Saint Body. 149

Healing and Body Modification

  • Saved Xu Wen from a gunshot wound with powerful healing and expensive cell-repair fluid. 541
  • Can optimize his own body, though one such optimization left him below a previous peak state. 541
  • Created a human clone from a drop of blood containing a trace of his soul; the clone possessed 500 Thorn’s power. 536

Extreme Martial System

Yun Shou later cultivated the Extreme Martial System.

  • Completed Skin Refining in three days and advanced to Muscle Refining. 416
  • Learned Descent, which can stack power from different realms and multiply strength by up to sevenfold in the First Heaven. 416
  • Could use Inner Strength before reaching the First Realm and estimated he could defeat an Innate Mid-stage opponent through foresight. 419

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Green Iron Saber — Briefly seized from a Qing He Gang member during his assault on the gang headquarters. 45

Story Role / Major Arcs

Early Simulations and Chu Family Service

Qing He Gang Takeover

After becoming a Martial Master, Yun Shou challenged Qing He Gang, defeated Xu Ruohai and its leading fighters, and became gang leader at fourteen. He restructured the gang around his own growth, delegated daily management, expanded its influence, and supplied members with superior cultivation methods. 45 46 48 49 106

Rise Beyond the Mortal Martial World

Yun Shou sought realms beyond Great Grandmaster, received guidance from Elder Jiang, learned the distinction between Worldly Person and Heavenly Person, and eventually entered higher worlds and the Hundred Races Battlefield. 79 111 123 160

Human Race Defender

He became a prominent Human Race martial artist, fought demons and rival races, protected civilians, and became one of the “Yun Yang’s Three Heroes.” The Demon Race later mobilized multiple Supreme-level forces specifically to capture or kill him. 111 129 143 149 150

Fall and Recovery

The implantation of the Overlord Demon Egg rendered Yun Shou powerless and forced him into retirement from the front lines. He publicly acknowledged his condition, opened a barbecue business, and accepted help from Chu Heshang and others before continuing his cultivation path. 156 163

Supreme and Transcendent Conflicts

After centuries of accumulation, Yun Shou reached Supreme-level power, fought Fourth Realm experts and Ancient Demons, and became a decisive force in large-scale battlefield conflicts. His later advancement to the Sixth Realm brought him into direct conflict with the Yellow-robed Dragon Lord. 258 287 294 835
