Realm Classification

The Third Realm stands above the Second Realm and below the Fourth Realm. Reaching it is a major qualitative leap: an ascender may require immense Vital Energy merely to stabilize their transformed body. 209

Yun Shou’s twelve-level classification emphasizes the disparity within the realm: each level more than doubles one’s strength, while the difference between early and peak Third Realm can reach thousands of times in destructive output. 178 206

Advancement

Advancing to the Third Realm causes the body to break past its previous limits, followed by extreme hunger and weakness as it requires vast Vital Energy to complete the transformation. The Primordial Crystal Heart supplied enough Vital Energy for Yun Shou to stabilize his breakthrough. 209

A successful breakthrough can greatly expand a cultivator’s capabilities. Yun Shou could form formations with a gesture after ascending, though this may reflect his individual cultivation foundation rather than a universal Third Realm ability. 209

For Demon Race cultivators, the Third Realm is associated with Myriad Quality, a state strengthened through devouring and continued bodily transformation. 167

Power Scale

• Third Realm combat can devastate an area measured in li, with clashes between early Overlords producing earthquakes, landslides, ruptured ground, and collapsed mountains across hundreds of miles. 167
• An early Third Realm cultivator can destroy a small mountain or obliterate roughly one li of terrain with a full strike; a peak cultivator can destroy more than ten li at once. 178
• The gap between the Third and Fourth Realms is described as a vast, nearly unbridgeable chasm; even exceptional Third Realm Saint Bodies cannot normally cross it. 255
• A race generally requires at least one Third Realm cultivator to be counted among the Azure Domain’s Hundred Races. 233
• Third Realm cultivators are high-level figures in the Azure Domain, and the Heaven-Connecting Ladder becomes substantially harder to pass at this stage. 242

Battlefield Areas and AI Adjudication

The Hundred Races Battlefield and its successor, the Ten Thousand Races Battlefield, divide participants into areas based on cultivation realm. Third Realm areas contain relatively few entrants because their occupants are already major figures and face stricter entry requirements. 242

Automated Judgment

The Hundred Races Battlefield possesses an AI judgment mechanism that governs ownership and rewards:

• Weapons accidentally dropped during combat are not immediately confiscated. 160
• Valuable unattended items within a one-li radius are automatically collected only after no one passes through for three consecutive days. 160
• Following a clash between two True Kings, the battlefield repaired itself, merged, and upgraded into the Ten Thousand Races Battlefield. 166
• Its judgment system can misclassify anomalously strong participants: Yun Shou was treated as a “bug” when Second Realm prodigies assumed he had broken through to the Third Realm without being expelled. 174
• A participant who actually breaks through to the Third Realm in a lower-level battlefield area is normally expelled quickly. 645

Third Realm Area

• The Third Realm area of the Ten Thousand Races Battlefield has notably dense Vital Energy and opportunities useful for improving Demon Race Myriad Quality. 177
• The battlefield’s realm restrictions prevent Sixth Realm re-cultivators from freely using their true power. Using Descent to manifest Sixth Realm strength would result in immediate expulsion. 433
• A Fourth Realm breakthrough can occur within the Third Realm area, drawing attention across hundreds of thousands of li. 178
