Hinata’s proposed marriage to the Kurama Clan originates in the Hyuga–Kurama alliance negotiations, when Ming Jing offers to marry Hiashi Hyuga’s young daughter to cement the pact. The arrangement is discussed while Hinata is still too young to be consulted. 16

Ming Jing later brings her to the Kurama compound after intervening against a Cloud Ninja threat.
