Background / History

Nuwa lived on Buzhou Mountain with her elder brother, Fuxi. When Xuan Yi encountered her during his travels, she introduced herself as Nuwa; his praise and gift of a flower left the previously secluded Nuwa flustered, though she privately considered him a suitable match. 6

She reunited with Xuan Yi at Zixiao Palace, where they acknowledged their mutual feelings despite Fuxi's initial opposition. Hongjun later accepted Nuwa as his fourth direct disciple, elevating her from the originally intended position of registered disciple because of her relationship with Xuan Yi. 8 9

At Xuan Yi's recommendation, Nuwa accepted the title of Second Demon Emperor after he saved Fuxi and the Heavenly Court from the Twelve Ancestral Witches. Her karmic connection to the Demon Race allowed her to take the position. 19

Following Hongjun's final sermon, Nuwa received Primordial Violet Qi. While traveling with Xuan Yi, she realized her path to sainthood lay in creating a new race with Xiantian Dao bodies. Using materials Xuan Yi had prepared, as well as both of their vital blood, she created the Human Race and became its Holy Mother. 21 22

Nuwa is described as a stunning woman in a cyan dress, with an exquisite appearance that immediately captivates Xuan Yi. 6

Personality

Nuwa is initially shy and inexperienced with outsiders, having lived on Buzhou Mountain since birth. Xuan Yi's direct courtship overwhelms her at first, but she becomes more open after recognizing her own feelings for him. 6 8

She is deeply compassionate. Nuwa is moved by the Six-Eared Macaque's difficult past, gives him spiritual fruit, and urges Xuan Yi to treat him well. After creating humanity, she worries that the weak new race will be preyed upon by stronger beings. 12 23

Nuwa is fiercely protective of those she loves. She attacks East King Duke for insulting Xuan Yi and declares that she would pursue Jieyin and Zhunti to the ends of existence if they harmed him. 16 10 Her protectiveness extends to Fuxi, Kunpeng, the Human Race, and her unborn child. 18 28 43
