The Eerie Wedding Dress first manifests as a bodiless ancient bridal outfit: a bright-red veil and robe suspended in the air, with a train extending behind it “like an endless river of blood.” It is identified as a Grudge Eerie. 472

Ji Yan brings the blood-robed eerie shadow into the Myriad Fire Ancestral Hall's forbidden area, where she is used as the container needed to restore the damaged Eerie Wedding Dress. He conceals that the process may annihilate her soul and sacrifices her to the forbidden area's oddities. 542 547

She survives through her hatred of Ji Yan's betrayal. Rather than being consumed by the wedding dress, she merges with and overtakes it, retaining self-awareness and pretending to obey the Forbidden Area's master before destroying it.
