Background / History

The Barbarian Domain was originally a barren region of the Great Wilderness. Resources were so scarce that gathering materials for King Realm pills was a major obstacle, while high-rank alchemists were equally difficult to cultivate 37. Its clans were ranked by their strongest combatants; a clan needed a King Ninth Level Peak expert to qualify as a transcendent upper fourth-rank power and hold fertile territory 70 80.

During the Tiger Clan’s rise, First Tiger declared that the domain would have “only one voice” and launched a campaign of conquest after reaching the Emperor Realm 49 80. Within five years, the Tiger Clan had seized all fertile territories, carrying out prolonged bloodbaths after each major victory 82.

By the time the Great Qin Imperial Clan investigated the region, the Human Clan had become dominant in the Barbarian Domain. Its people were identified as descendants of various Human Clan branch lines, led chiefly by the Great Xia Imperial Clan’s descendants, the Xia Clan 93.

Chu He subsequently remade the domain into a fortified cultivation land. He absorbed ruined small domains into it, reinforced its laws and restrictions, and used it as the protected foundation for the Human Clan 201 242. Its inhabitants later survived an Abyssal assault and the domain’s passage through a spatial tunnel into another world 260 262 263.

Appearance

The Barbarian Domain is a vast, altered land whose exterior and borders have repeatedly changed through migration, fusion, and concealment. It was once connected to another continent by Chu Bridge across the Endless Sea, but that bridge was severed after the domain arrived in a new world 147 265.

• Its entrance and wider terrain are layered with powerful restrictions capable of suppressing peak Dao Venerables 304.
• Two indistinct Golden Statues stand at its entrance and emit a sacred halo after being empowered by the World Suppressing Cauldron and Heavenly Stele 304.
• A dragon of fortune formed from its mountains, rivers, land, and realm continues to grow beneath the earth 438.
• After years without sunlight, it remained full of spiritual life; all vegetation within had become spiritual objects rather than mundane plants 438.
• It later returned to daylight and increasingly appeared to its inhabitants as an independent world 439.

The domain’s restrictions isolate its inhabitants from outside pressure and act against unauthorized entrants.

• Ao Ye’s overwhelming dragon might could be seen from within the domain, but its aura barely affected residents protected by the restrictions 247.
• Five lightning worlds and their countless lightning dragons failed to breach the golden barrier; the invading dragons were swallowed and dispersed, injuring Ao Ye through backlash 248.
• Foreign races attempting to flee into the domain during the Abyssal crisis vanished, reappeared lightning-struck, and fell to the ground 260.
• The restrictions withstood sustained Abyssal corrosion, though they developed golden fissures and nearly failed against the Abyssal giant beast 260 262.

Absorption and Reinforcement

The Barbarian Domain can be strengthened through the assimilation of smaller domains and external materials.

• Chu He melted ruined small domains into it, causing its size to grow while surviving weak inhabitants were removed to the East Cang Domain 201.
• Its ascension triggered a three-month sublimation that elevated every form of life within, including insects and ants 296.
• Chu He later continued collecting materials and treasures to raise its overall level and repair damage left by the Abyss 271 283.

Interworld Intermediary

The domain has become unusually independent of ordinary world laws.

• Human Clan inhabitants initially found cultivation outside the domain obstructed after its arrival in the new world, while cultivation inside remained normal 265.
• Its people can use it as a secure base while exploring other realms through the Myriad Worlds Tower and Chaos Beads 315 358.
• Demons placed within the Barbarian Domain can enter Nine Realms Mountain despite the mountain’s normal rejection of them 417.
