Ch. 1241The cave

Denethor II agreed to light Gondor’s beacons, and Boromir’s party set out to bring reinforcements to Minas Tirith. Meanwhile, Andrew took Galadriel into the haunted mountain to recruit its dead, and showed her that she would eventually separate from her husband.

  • Denethor II dismissed Faramir’s warning about Osgiliath but agreed to light the beacons after hearing Boromir was returning.
  • Boromir, Aragorn, Gandalf, Ganahta, and their companions hurried toward Minas Tirith as Rohan, the Elves, and the Ents prepared to march.
  • Andrew brought Galadriel to the mountain passage where the cursed Mountain folk’s souls remained trapped, intending to recruit them.
  • Andrew led Galadriel into the cave and used magic to show her a future scene of her peaceful separation from her husband.
  • Andrew told Galadriel that her desire for freedom and travel would lead to the separation, and that he would be her next relationship.

Ch. 1242Joining

Andrew subdued the cursed Mountain folk ghosts and offered them a choice between annihilation and serving him for ten years in exchange for relief from their curse. Galadriel joined S.W.O.R.D., and Andrew trapped the ghosts in a fragment to begin building his army.

  • Andrew and Galadriel encountered the Mountain folk ghosts, who threatened to eat them.
  • Andrew used powerful sunlight to weaken the ghosts, while Galadriel secretly prevented their leader from escaping.
  • Galadriel joined S.W.O.R.D. and agreed to learn Technology Magic from Andrew.
  • Andrew offered the ghosts annihilation or ten years of service in return for lifting their curse.
  • The ghosts agreed to serve Andrew, who drew them into a fragment.

Ch. 1243Teaching

Andrew collected the Mountain folk ghosts, then took Galadriel to hunt pirates while teaching her Technology Magic. Meanwhile, Boromir’s group reached Minas Tirith and prepared to seize control before Mordor’s army arrived that night.

  • Andrew stored the Mountain folk ghosts in a Hell fragment and explained that it would help them recover and become ghost soldiers and generals.
  • Andrew and Galadriel searched for pirates, killed them, and collected their souls in the Hell fragment before magically sending their ship toward Gondor.
  • Andrew began teaching Galadriel Technology Magic, but she struggled to reconcile its scientific explanations with her belief in the Creation God.
  • Boromir, Aragorn, Gandalf, Éowyn, and the four Hobbits arrived outside Minas Tirith and planned to seize control by taking Boromir’s father prisoner.
  • Ganahta urged the group to proceed even if Faramir opposed them and warned that Mordor’s army might arrive that night.

Ch. 1244Seizing power

Boromir and his allies returned to Minas Tirith as Mordor’s forces prepared to attack, and Boromir moved to transfer Gondor’s authority to Aragorn. The soldiers pledged allegiance to Aragorn, while Ganahta put Denethor II to sleep.

  • Faramir told Boromir that the Orcs had broken through the front lines under the Balrog’s attack.
  • Boromir brought the group to Denethor II and announced that Aragorn was Gondor’s rightful king.
  • Denethor II ordered the guards to drive Aragorn and his allies out, but Boromir’s Guard Captain arrived with soldiers to oppose him.
  • Boromir declared that Aragorn would take authority over Gondor and knelt before him with Narsil present.
  • Faramir and the soldiers pledged allegiance to Aragorn, and Ganahta used magic to put Denethor II to sleep.

Ch. 1245The Great Army Attacks

Aragorn prepared Minas Tirith for war as Shuma-Gorath's Orc army arrived, while Andrew sent Galadriel and the Fire Dragon toward Mount Doom as a decoy so he could destroy the One Ring. The chapter ended with Aragorn addressing the frightened defenders as the siege began.

  • Aragorn ordered Minas Tirith into war readiness and directed civilians into the city after Denethor II fell asleep.
  • Shuma-Gorath appeared in the darkened sky, challenged Ganahta, and announced the final battle as the Orc army marched on Minas Tirith.
  • Aragorn ordered Boromir and Faramir to organize the city's defenses, while Gandalf learned from Ganahta that reinforcements would arrive within half an hour.
  • Andrew sent Galadriel and the Fire Dragon toward Mount Doom as bait, concealed them with his Outside of Fate magic, and set out to destroy the One Ring himself.
  • Aragorn told the frightened soldiers and civilians that he feared Minas Tirith would fall and that he might fail to protect its people.

Ch. 1246Nazgûl

Aragorn led Gondor’s defense as Shuma-Gorath drew several champions into the Chaos Space, leaving three enhanced Nazgûl to attack Minas Tirith. Legolas and the four Hobbits used newly acquired abilities to help Aragorn fight the Nazgûl, and the battle continued with the Telekinetic Nazgûl still battling Frodo and Merry.

  • Aragorn rallied Gondor’s soldiers, while Shuma-Gorath, the Balrog, and six Nazgûl entered the Chaos Space with Ganahta, Gandalf, and Éowyn.
  • Aragorn ordered Gondor’s catapults to fire as Orcish stones struck the city, and Legolas used fiery arrows to destroy incoming boulders.
  • An enhanced Nazgûl attacked Aragorn and Legolas, while two others targeted Aragorn with sonic blasts and flying stones.
  • Pippin turned to metal and attacked the Sonic Nazgûl, and Aragorn knocked the Nazgûl and his dragon into rubble.
  • Frodo used wind to sweep away stones as Merry fired electricity at the Telekinetic Nazgûl, who fought back with his dragon.

Ch. 1247Chaos Fate

Frodo, Merry, Sam, Legolas, Aragorn, and Pippin fought the Nazgûl while Minas Tirith’s defenders battled the Orc army. In Chaos Space, Shuma-Gorath and Ganahta began a dangerous duel through other people’s fates.

  • Frodo and Merry attacked a Telekinetic Nazgûl while Sam carried Legolas, who shot a flying dragon in the eye and brought it down.
  • Boromir and Faramir led Minas Tirith’s defenders against the advancing Orcs, siege ladders, and siege towers as both sides suffered heavy losses.
  • Ganahta summoned King Elrond and Saruman to join Gandalf and Éowyn against Shuma-Gorath, the Balrog, and the Nazgûl.
  • Saruman rejected Shuma-Gorath and declared that he would help end the conflict, while Shuma-Gorath revealed that her true body had come to face Ganahta.
  • Shuma-Gorath used Chaos Fate to draw herself and Ganahta into the Sea of Fate, where they fought by taking over people across Middle-earth and attacking through their bodies.

Ch. 1248The Witch-king of Angmar

Andrew fought Shuma-Gorath through a battle of fate while the other fighters faced the Nazgûl. Éowyn gained the strength to challenge the Witch-king of Angmar, and the chapter left them still fighting after he revealed his Twisting Power.

  • Andrew asked Ganahta to open her body and mind to him so he could fight Shuma-Gorath using her power, while Ganahta agreed and looked forward to the victory feast.
  • Saruman confronted the Balrog, while Gandalf and King Elrond prepared to fight the five remaining Nazgûl.
  • Éowyn faced the Witch-king of Angmar, who attacked her with his flail and flying dragon, leaving her struggling to defend herself.
  • Andrew told Éowyn that she could defeat the Witch-king if her will was strong enough, and fate empowered her to match his strength.
  • Éowyn blocked the Witch-king's attacks and took flight to fight back, but he used Twisting Power to knock her from the sky and shatter her armor.

Ch. 1249Gollum

Éowyn gained Spiral Armor and turned the Witch-king of Angmar’s twisting power against him while Andrew battled Shuma-Gorath through fate. At Mount Doom, Galadriel and the Fire Dragon tried to evade Sauron, but Gollum tracked the fake One Ring and proved nearly impossible to defeat.

  • Éowyn’s Spiral Armor absorbed the Witch-king of Angmar’s twisting power, letting her press the attack and force him to distort space instead.
  • Andrew told Shuma-Gorath that he expected to win their battle of fate, while the Creation God watched without intervening.
  • Galadriel and the Fire Dragon crept toward Mount Doom, but Gollum appeared and tracked the One Ring’s aura as they fled.
  • Gollum chased Galadriel and the Fire Dragon through the ground and into the Quantum Realm before they escaped Mount Doom’s vicinity.
  • The Fire Dragon grew to full size and attacked Gollum with fire and repeated blows, but Gollum recovered each time and kept growing stronger.

Ch. 1250Battering Ram

Andrew used Smeagol’s memories in an attempt to make him relinquish the One Ring while Minas Tirith’s defenders fought Mordor’s overwhelming assault. The Orcs brought Grond to the city gate, and Boromir and a newly empowered Faramir fought to stop it as Arwen continued distributing ability potions.

  • Andrew trapped Smeagol in repeating memories of his past, hoping he would eventually give up the One Ring willingly.
  • The Orcs used Chaos Auras to distract Minas Tirith’s defenders and drove Grond against the city gate, cracking it.
  • Boromir fought Orcs at the gate while Aragorn and the others were occupied by the Nazgûl and Peggy countered the Chaos Auras.
  • Arwen gave Faramir an ability potion, and he gained the power Explosion Brand before joining Boromir at the gate.
  • Faramir and Boromir stalled the Orcs near Grond, while the Orc leader chose to save Shuma-Gorath’s trump cards for later.
  • Arwen sought other people with exceptional fortune to receive Andrew’s ability potions.

Ch. 1251Reinforcements

Rohan, Elf, and Dwarf reinforcements joined the battle against the Orcs, with Dwarven chariots and Gloin’s ability helping turn the fight in their favor. The battle remained unsettled, and the arrival of Haradrim Mammoth Elephants dealt the Rohan Cavalry a crushing defeat.

  • King Théoden led the Rohan Cavalry down the hillside as the Elves and Dwarves joined the attack on the Orcs.
  • The Dwarven King sent war chariots into battle, whose spinning bolts tore through the Orc ranks and disrupted their archers.
  • The Orcs used powder kegs and wolf-drawn chariots to break the Rohan charge, while King Théoden regrouped and led another attack.
  • The Dwarves joined the fighting, and Gloin used Ability Shockwave to knock Orcs off their feet as the allied forces gained ground.
  • Boromir and Faramir led the ability users toward Grond, but Haradrim Mammoth Elephants charged the Rohan Cavalry and devastated them.

Ch. 1252Sacrifice

The Orcs used a sacrificial power to grow stronger and turn the battle at Minas Tirith against the defenders. As Special Uruk-hai flew toward the White Tower to kill the singing Elf, Andrew and Shuma-Gorath’s wider conflict remained unresolved.

  • Arwen released the Ents, who used grass and their branches to defeat the Haradrim and take control of the Mammoth Elephants.
  • King Théoden led the renewed charge as the humans’ morale rose, but the Orc chieftain crushed a black-vapor eye and empowered the Orcs, Trolls, and giant beasts at the cost of their lives after twenty-four hours.
  • In the Shire, Andrew learned that Shuma-Gorath had used Chthon’s sacrificial power and stolen traces of Chthon, Set, and Death’s auras; the three agreed to lend her their abilities while resenting her.
  • New Yorkers remained indoors beneath the lingering mirage, while Homelander lamented that Andrew’s crisis had taken over the headlines.
  • The Orc chieftain sent more than a hundred flying Special Uruk-hai toward the White Tower to kill the singing female Elf.

Ch. 1253He really could perform

Peggy repelled the Flying Uruk-hai and turned them against the dragons, but the human forces remained overwhelmed until Andrew enlarged Aragorn into a giant. Aragorn’s rampage turned the battle, while Sam killed the Orc leader before he could deploy his next hidden card.

  • The Flying Uruk-hai attacked Peggy, but she knocked their spears away and used her second singing face to make them fight the dragons instead.
  • Andrew told Arwen to shout that Aragorn could perform, and her words were heard across the battlefield.
  • Andrew activated the Pym particles in Aragorn’s dragon blood, enlarging him into a giant who crushed dragons, Orcs, and Grond.
  • Aragorn’s assault rallied the human forces, and the soldiers cheered that he could perform as their commanders led a counterattack.
  • The Orc leader tried to deploy his second hidden card, but Sam beheaded him on Andrew’s orders.

Ch. 1254The Ring of Men

Andrew killed the Orc chieftain and used Chaos Fate and the White Tree to prevent Shuma-Gorath from activating her battlefield trump cards. As Aragorn’s forces routed the Orcs, the Nazgûl tricked him into wearing the Ring of Men, and its power overwhelmed him with a desire to rule and kill.

  • Sam used Swift Slash to kill the Orc chieftain, whose soul and body were then destroyed despite Shuma-Gorath’s attempt to claim its soul.
  • Andrew revealed that he had mastered Chaos Fate, forcing Shuma-Gorath and Ganahta into rapid body switches that left her unable to control her battlefield trump cards.
  • Peggy’s song activated Andrew’s White Tree arrangement, sealing the battlefield against remote mental transmissions and preventing Shuma-Gorath from using a catastrophic weapon against the humans, elves, and Dwarves.
  • With the Orc chieftain dead, Aragorn and the human army drove the Orcs into retreat, while the three Nazgûl fled Minas Tirith behind the flying dragons.
  • The three Nazgûl attacked Aragorn and forced the Ring of Men onto his finger, causing the Sonic Nazgûl to vanish and Aragorn to become consumed by a desire to dominate and kill those who opposed him.

Ch. 1255Control

Aragorn was corrupted by the Rings of Men, but Arwen briefly helped him fight their control before the Witch-king of Angmar unleashed a new attack. The Witch-king escaped Chaos Space with five rings, leaving Gandalf and the others trapped as they rushed to stop him.

  • Aragorn resisted the Rings of Men at first, but the two remaining Nazgûl sent their rings to him and corrupted him with three rings.
  • Andrew told Arwen to use the spell “Aragorn, you don't work,” shrinking Aragorn and dispelling his Gigantification.
  • Arwen urged Aragorn to help her remove the rings, and he regained enough clarity for them to begin removing one.
  • The Witch-king of Angmar sent six more Rings of Men into Aragorn, blasted Arwen away, and unleashed a black aura.
  • In Chaos Space, Éowyn gained the upper hand against the Witch-king while Gandalf and King Elrond overwhelmed the other Nazgûl.
  • The Witch-king made the five Nazgûl explode, escaped Chaos Space with five rings, and left Gandalf and the others planning to pursue him.

Ch. 1256Synchronization

Gandalf and the others escaped neither Chaos Space nor the danger of Shuma-Gorath’s plan, while the Witch-king of Angmar took control of Aragorn and turned the battle against Minas Tirith. Andrew guided Arwen into using the Life Chain spell to make Aragorn put on the One Ring, but Éowyn had to shield her from the Witch-king’s Twisted Eye as the spell took hold.

  • Gandalf, King Elrond, Saruman, and Éowyn forced the Balrog to self-destruct, but no Space Rift appeared and they remained trapped in Chaos Space.
  • The Witch-king of Angmar possessed Aragorn, who attacked Legolas, Sam, the Ents, and the defenders with black mist, the Twisted Eye, and Narsil.
  • Shuma-Gorath claimed the Rings of Men had sealed Aragorn’s soul and that Andrew could not stop him without appearing in person.
  • Andrew told Arwen that the Life Chain spell could let her control Aragorn, then instructed her to throw him the One Ring.
  • Aragorn and Arwen began putting on the One Ring in synchronization, while the Witch-king tried to kill Arwen with the Twisted Eye.
  • Éowyn appeared beside Arwen and absorbed the Twisting Power, allowing the Life Chain spell to continue.

Ch. 1257Reaping

Aragorn used the False One Ring to seize control of the Orcs, and Peggy’s Death Song wiped out the invading army as Éowyn killed the Witch-king of Angmar. With Minas Tirith saved, the surviving forces gathered to march on Mordor and destroy the One Ring.

  • Arwen gave Aragorn the False One Ring, and Andrew awakened Aragorn’s soul and told him to raise Narsil and proclaim, “I am invincible!”
  • Aragorn claimed the Orcs’ allegiance, then Andrew used him to claim their souls and Peggy’s Death Song killed every Orc, Troll, and giant beast in the army.
  • Éowyn stabbed the Witch-king of Angmar, fulfilling fate and killing him, while Aragorn removed the rings and reunited with Arwen.
  • Aragorn announced victory, and Andrew promised Arwen he would resurrect the Ents after the battle.
  • Peggy called for an assault on Mordor to destroy the One Ring, and Aragorn led the surviving defenders, Rohan Cavalry, Elves, Dwarves, and wizards toward the final battle.

Ch. 1258Winning Them Over

Andrew waited for the One Ring’s destruction so he could eliminate Shuma-Gorath, while he awakened Smeagol and enlisted him to help destroy the Ring. As Aragorn’s reinforcements arrived, Gollum seized Galadriel’s False One Ring and fled.

  • Peggy opened a Giant Teleportation Gate, and Aragorn led the armies through it toward Mordor while the injured Legolas and Sam stayed behind.
  • Andrew told Shuma-Gorath that he would attack after the One Ring was destroyed, when he would have a better chance of killing her permanently.
  • Shuma-Gorath gave Set’s power to Gollum, who used it to overwhelm Galadriel and the Fire Dragon as Andrew helped Smeagol regain clarity through repeated reincarnations.
  • Smeagol agreed to help Andrew destroy the One Ring in exchange for a chance to return to normal and be freed from its curse.
  • Aragorn’s reinforcements arrived as Gollum attacked Galadriel, then seized the concealed False One Ring and fled.

Ch. 1259Mount Doom

As Mount Doom erupted and its poisonous black smoke threatened to destroy the world, Andrew secretly guided Gollum to the volcano’s edge, where Smeagol fought to destroy the One Ring. Just as Smeagol jumped into the magma, the fake ring transformed into the real One Ring.

  • After Gollum fled, Gandalf and the others joined Galadriel and set off for Mount Doom to confront Sauron.
  • Sauron triggered Mount Doom’s volcanic range, unleashing poisonous black smoke and fire that overwhelmed the defenders and began killing soldiers.
  • Shuma-Gorath revealed that the smoke could destroy all life and drew upon Death’s power as the eruptions spread.
  • Andrew concealed Gollum’s approach to Mount Doom’s magma, while Smeagol wrestled with him for control of their body.
  • Smeagol jumped toward the magma to destroy the One Ring, and the fake ring transformed into the real one just before the fall.

Ch. 1260Overwhelming victory

Andrew destroyed the One Ring and defeated Sauron, then trapped Shuma-Gorath above the Sea of Fate for their final battle. Andrew overwhelmed Shuma-Gorath, but Shuma-Gorath began laughing as he prepared to unleash his power.

  • Galadriel used Time Stop to keep Sauron from saving Gollum, who fell into Mount Doom with the real One Ring and destroyed it.
  • Sauron collapsed, and Andrew sealed Shuma-Gorath inside a space-time barrier above the Sea of Fate while the survivors escaped through a portal to Minas Tirith.
  • Andrew transformed into an amplified black hole and swallowed Shuma-Gorath's fate beam and attacks.
  • Andrew sacrificed Orc souls and sent the ghosts of the Mountain folk into Shuma-Gorath, steadily destroying his eye and tentacles.
  • As Shuma-Gorath neared defeat, he laughed and told Andrew he was about to die.
