Background
Tai Yi is a Transmigrator who arrived in the Great Desolation as a Three-legged Golden Crow of the Solar Star and became bound to the Many Sons, Much Fortune System. The System pushed him to spread his lineage and pursue powerful female immortals, while also applying an intelligence-reduction effect that impaired his judgment and concealed the wider presence of Transmigrators from him 8 9 15 118.
He initially treated his pursuit of Xi He as part of his Dao and used conspicuously modern pickup lines, gifts, and System-redeemed items to court female immortals. His conduct earned him the reputation of “Flirtatious Crow Tai Yi” and provoked public condemnation from Fuxi, Chang Xi, and several aggrieved cultivators 8 15 17.
Appearance
Tai Yi commonly appears as a handsome, golden-robed cultivator with a carefully altered, “dashing” appearance. His true form is a Three-legged Golden Crow, and his presence is often accompanied by blazing Solar True Fire 8 16 26.
- Golden robes and a warm, outwardly charming smile 16
- Golden Crow Crown Prince’s arrogance beneath his cultivated demeanor 16
- Solar True Fire that can envelop him like a blazing sun 18
- Golden imperial blood that burns with Solar True Fire 44
Personality
Tai Yi is ambitious, competitive, and highly concerned with status. His humiliation at Dijiang’s hands became a primary motive for founding the Demon Clan, seeking the title of Eastern Emperor, and opposing the Witch Clan 18 26.
Early in the story, he is frivolous and self-assured, interpreting rejection as a challenge and pursuing System missions with little regard for how others perceive his behavior. The System’s influence worsened these tendencies, especially its intelligence-reduction halo and repeated pressure to produce descendants 8 15 60.
After becoming a father and ruler, Tai Yi becomes more conscious of responsibility. He stops pursuing Xi He and Chang Xi after believing Di Jun desires them, works to secure the Demon Court’s future, and is devastated by the deaths of his children. His grief over Lu Song and the other Golden Crows is exploited by the System, driving him into near-madness during the conflict with Da Yi and Chen Tian 69 70 152 153.

- Was used to sever his Evil Corpse and reach the Quasi-Saint realm 31
- Stabilizes chaotic currents and the earth, fire, water, and wind during Hun Yuan-level combat 89 153
- Its activation consumes immense magical power and places heavy demands on Tai Yi’s primordial spirit 18
- Could not fully protect him from Dijiang’s repeated attacks or Chen Tian’s God-Slaying Spear 18 44
Heavenly Emperor Authority
As master of the Demon Court and the Thirty-three Heavens, Tai Yi can draw on their destiny and stellar power.
- Absorbed a portion of the Demon Court’s destiny after taking the Thirty-three Heavens 40
- Uses the projection of the Thirty-three Heavens and the Star Domain to empower himself 44
- Commands the fortune of the stars and maintains a connection to the Thirty-three Heavens 153
- Established the Demon Court’s hierarchy, appointed Demon Saints, and directed its campaigns 33 40
Grand Formation of Stars
Tai Yi relied on the formation derived from the River Diagram and Luo Book to contend with the Witch Clan’s supreme formation.
- Obtained the River Diagram and Luo Book from Di Jun and entrusted them to Fuxi for deduction of the Zhou Tian Star Dou Great Formation 69 70
- Mastered the Grand Formation of Stars before attacking the Immortal Court 74
- Used the formation’s power during his clashes with Chen Tian 88 153
Three-Corpse Cultivation

- Severed his Evil Corpse through the Chaos Bell 31

- Random Teleportation Talisman — System-provided escape item that saved him from Dijiang; its use created a debt contract with the System 18 19
Relationships
- Di Jun — Elder brother. Di Jun repeatedly urged Tai Yi to remain cautious, but Tai Yi pushed ahead with the Demon Clan; Tai Yi later gave up pursuing Xi He and Chang Xi out of deference to his brother 26 27 69.
- Qin Yuan — Younger brother and fellow Solar Star native. Tai Yi attempted to enlist him in the Demon Clan project; Qin Yuan later spread rumors that worsened Tai Yi’s public humiliation 27 57.
- Xi He — Lunar Goddess whom Tai Yi pursued unsuccessfully. She rejected his advances and later continued to bar him from the Lunar Star 8 10 17.

- Nuwa — Joined the Demon Court as Empress Wa alongside Fuxi after Tai Yi bestowed three top-grade spirit treasures upon them 60.

- Zhang Hao — The Heavenly Dao who destroyed Tai Yi’s System, judged him for his actions, and assigned him the task of creating a three-thousand-world realm 159 160.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Pursuit of the Lunar Goddesses
Tai Yi entered the Moon Palace to court Xi He, using crude pickup lines and declaring that she was his Dao. Chang Xi recognized him as another Transmigrator, competed with him briefly, and then helped drive him away alongside Xi He 8 9.
His repeated courtship of female immortals led to a confrontation on the East Sea, where he offered Zhu Ying the Pearl of the Bright Moon over the Vast Sea. True Lord Li Huo and other cultivators attacked him over his conduct, while Fuxi and Chang Xi publicly rebuked him 16 17.
Defeat by Dijiang
Tai Yi challenged Dijiang despite being only at Grand Unity Perfection. Even with the Chaos Bell and Solar True Fire, he was severely injured by Dijiang’s attacks and escaped only by using a System-provided Random Teleportation Talisman 18.
While recovering in a System-created sanctuary, Tai Yi resolved to avenge himself on Dijiang and the Witch Clan. The System’s rescue established a debt requiring him to produce ten descendants of Innate origin or greater within ten Yuan Hui 19.
Founding the Demon Court
After recovering and completing his first System mission through the birth of his offspring, Tai Yi resolved to establish the Demon Clan. He sought power, revenge against the Witch Clan, and the title of Eastern Emperor, despite Di Jun’s warnings that the era was too dangerous 26 27.
Tai Yi established the Demon Court, opened the Demonic Realm as a Great Thousand World, and gathered many races under his banner. The court’s growing dissatisfaction with his earlier inaction pushed him toward a more serious leadership role 33.
He led the Demon Clan in defeating East Prince Gong’s Immortal Court and taking control of the Thirty-three Heavens. This victory made him the Heavenly Emperor and granted him the Heavenly Emperor Sword 40.
Witch–Demon War
Tai Yi led the Demon Court against the Witch Clan, drawing upon the Thirty-three Heavens to break into late Quasi-Saint during his first major battle with Chen Tian. Despite this amplification and the Heavenly Emperor Sword, Chen Tian briefly held the advantage with the Law of Strength and God-Slaying Spear 44.
To counter the Witch Clan’s Twelve Capital Celestial Evil Slaying Formation, Tai Yi obtained the River Diagram and Luo Book from Di Jun and had Fuxi deduce the Grand Formation of Stars. He later reached the Hun Yuan level and attacked East Prince Gong’s Immortal Court with the completed formation 69 70 74.
At the Heavenly Marriage conflict, Tai Yi confronted Chen Tian again. When the Ancestor Witches activated their supreme formation, Tai Yi fought in the Chaos as a Hun Yuan Grand Unity Golden Immortal; Di Jun intervened to destroy the Pangu Axe phantom with Solar True Fire 86 89.
Death of the Golden Crows
Da Yi slaughtered Demon Clan territories and shot down Tai Yi’s children, including Golden Crow princes. Tai Yi left the Heavenly Court wielding the Chaos Bell and Heavenly Emperor Sword, unable to suppress his rage 152.
Tai Yi attacked Chen Tian and Da Yi without allowing an explanation. The Many Sons, Much Fortune System exploited his grief and increasingly controlled his consciousness, driving him to threaten an all-out war against the Witch Clan 153.
Judgment and Atonement
Zhang Hao stripped the Many Sons, Much Fortune System from Tai Yi and annihilated it alongside other hostile Systems 159. Once awakened, Tai Yi remembered his actions, accepted judgment, and asked whether the True Spirits of his fallen children still existed 160.
Zhang Hao confirmed that Lu Song’s True Spirit and those of some other Golden Crow princes remained. Tai Yi was ordered to create and manage a realm of three thousand worlds; he accepted the task in the hope that completing it could help save his children 160.
Trivia
- Tai Yi personally altered his appearance to resemble a “top-tier model” before pursuing Xi He and Chang Xi 8.
- His System’s first major completed mission rewarded him with imitation versions of the Pangu Banner and Taiji Diagram rather than combat-capable copies 26.
- Tai Yi’s initial reason for founding the Demon Clan was partly to gain an impressive title for courting women, though the escalating Witch Clan threat forced him to take the role seriously 26 33.
