Background / History

Xue Nianbing transmigrated from another world and arrived in the Far North as an infant. When the ice-blue jade pendant on his body shattered, a streak of light entered his head, establishing the mysterious presence within his Sea of Consciousness. The Snow Empress and Ice Empress discovered him and chose to raise him as family. 1

The Ice Empress proposed the name Xue Nianbing, which the Snow Empress accepted. Even before his Martial Soul awakening, he possessed pure Extreme Ice and extraordinary strength, contributing to their interest in his origins. His memories of his previous world later include Blue Star and its modern hotels. 1 2 525

At age six, he awakened his twin Extreme Ice Martial Souls and began following the Frosty Ice Spear cultivation route. His unusual body strengthens gradually with time, while a mysterious presence in his Sea of Consciousness raises the age of his Soul Rings and Soul Bones. 2 3 5 8 11

After five years of brutal Far North training, Nianbing resolved to enter the Human World. He chose Shrek Academy to study Soul Master knowledge and Soul Tools, while treating the Ice and Snow Emperors as the powerful backing he required to survive among human powerhouses. At Shrek, he became Wang Dong's roommate, recognized her disguise and true identity, and established himself through successive duels. During his time at Shrek, Nianbing was recognized by the Golden Ancient Tree and granted treatment equal to that of the Sea God Pavilion elders. The elders also learned that his apparently purple Soul Rings were disguises for rings approximately fifty thousand years old. 91

Nianbing eventually took control of Shrek and the Sea God Pavilion, replacing it with the Ice Snow Palace.
