Background
The Witch Race originated from Pangu's bloodline after his death. Their bodies inherited extraordinary strength, while Pangu's nascent soul became the Three Pure Ones rather than passing to the Witches. Consequently, ordinary Witches lack nascent souls; only the Twelve Ancestral Witches and Nine Phoenix possess incomplete ones. 864
The race's strength is organized around the Twelve Ancestral Witches and the Ancestral Witch Hall. Houtu later became an Earth Dao Sage and ceased managing Witch affairs, while Gong Gong and Zhu Rong's feud devastated Buzhou Mountain and eventually led to both of their deaths. These losses damaged the Witch Race's military strength and its signature formation. 293 865 1202
The Witch Race was exposed for slaughtering tens of millions of humans to refine the Demon Slaying Sword, an act that isolated it from many Primordial powers and created an enduring blood feud with humanity. 14 1206
Appearance
Witches possess diverse and often bizarre true forms, but their defining combat transformation is the Titan Form: colossal giants whose strength is compared to miniature versions of Pangu. They cannot fully exert their physical power while remaining in Dao Body form. 239 1072
- Titan Form Witches are described as super giants capable of supporting the heavens. 239
- Ancestral Witches commonly display animalistic or hybrid traits in their true forms. Rushou, for example, has a human face, tiger body, golden scales, wings, and a dragon beneath his feet. 374
- The race's physical bodies are regarded as the strongest in the Primordial Era outside of Sages. 864
Abilities & Skills
Physical-Body Cultivation
The Witch Race compensates for its spiritual deficiencies by pursuing extreme physical refinement. Their bodies are their primary weapons and principal source of status among the Primordial races. 14 170
- Most Witches cannot wield magical artifacts or practice conventional cultivation methods. 14
- Their Titan Forms are their true combat forms and restore their physical strength more completely than Dao Body form. 1072
- Even weaker Ancestral Witches can rank among the strongest beings through physical power alone. 373
Laws and Witchcraft
Rather than relying on ordinary Dao methods, Witches cultivate Laws and develop Witchcraft according to those Laws. Each Ancestral Witch is associated with a distinct Law. 835
- Zhu Jiuyin is associated with the Law of Time. 1026
- Gou Mang controls the Law of Wood and is noted for exceptional vitality. 1209
- Qiang Liang possesses the Body of Thunder and is associated with electricity. 1012
Nine Revolutions Divine Art
Created jointly by the Twelve Ancestral Witches under Di Jiang's leadership, the Nine Revolutions Divine Art refines Pangu's essence blood to forge the Witch Race's physical bodies. 866
- It is the fundamental reason behind the race's exceptional bodily strength. 866
- Its exposure made the Demon Race seek an opportunity to decipher or seize it. 866
- The art was ranked 34th on the Primordial Divine Ability Ranking. 866
Nascent-Soul Restoration
The absence of complete nascent souls is the Witch Race's greatest limitation. A restoration method offers a route beyond purely physical cultivation. 864 1074
- Houtu obtained a technique capable of allowing ordinary Witches to develop nascent souls. 864
- Xuanming repaired her damaged nascent soul, recovering lost strength and renewed potential. 1074 1075
- Di Jiang cautioned that the Human and Demon Races would not permit the method's widespread use without resistance. 1074
Twelve Capital Gods and Demons Array
The Witch Race's decisive formation is based on the Twelve Ancestral Witches and their Pangu bloodline. 601 1285
- It gathers the Witch Race's twelve bloodlines and condenses a phantom of Pangu. 1285
- The Pangu phantom wields the Law of Strength and can contend with Sages. 1285
- The formation once broke the Demon Race's Star Array of the Heavens and enabled an assault on the Heavenly Court. 304 865
- The deaths and absences among the Twelve Ancestral Witches greatly reduced its effectiveness. 601 1202
Equipment / Sacred Resources
- Demon Slaying Sword — A weapon refined from the souls of slaughtered humans to counter the Demon Race's nascent souls. 14 1206
- Pangu's essence blood — The core material refined through the Nine Revolutions Divine Art to strengthen Witch bodies. 866
- Pangu Blood Pool — A foundational site of the Witch Race. 1261

The Witch Race placed fifteen Strong Ones on the Battle Power Ranking, one fewer than the Demon Race's sixteen, though its overall placements were slightly higher. 1202
Relationships
- Pangu — Progenitor; the Witch Race arose from his vital blood and relies on his bloodline, essence blood, and legacy. 864 866
- The Twelve Ancestral Witches — Governing and military core of the race; their completeness determines the full power of the Twelve Capital Gods and Demons Array. 601 1285
- Old Ancestor Minghe — Long-standing ally or friendly associate; Minghe was formed from Pangu's navel, which the Witches regard as a blood connection. 94
- Demon Race — Historic enemy in a prolonged struggle for Primordial dominance; the two later agreed to cooperate against the Human Race despite deep distrust. 116 1207 1208
- Human Race — Victims of the Demon Slaying Sword's creation and later a rapidly rising rival. The Witch Race attempted to make humans vassals, but the proposal was rejected and deepened hostility. 14 453 454
- Saint Zhunti — Adversary who provoked the Witch Race; Di Jiang's faction answered by deploying the Twelve Capital Gods and Demons Array. 601 603
Story Role / Major Arcs
Demon Slaying Sword Exposure
The Witch Race's massacre of tens of millions of humans to forge the Demon Slaying Sword is publicly revealed. Di Jiang responds to condemnation by accusing the Demon Race of comparable atrocities and secret weapon-making. 14
Decline of the Twelve Ancestral Witches
Gong Gong and Zhu Rong's feud causes the collapse of Buzhou Mountain and brings calamity upon the race. Their later deaths, Houtu's departure as an Earth Dao Sage, and Xuanming's absence leave the Witch Race unable to field all Twelve Ancestral Witches. 138 293 865 601
Response to the Human Race's Rise
As the Human Race rapidly gains inheritances and power, the Witch Race initially observes the Human-Demon conflict rather than commit openly. It then sends a Great Witch to propose an alliance intended to make humanity a vassal, but the encounter ends in humiliation and heightened distrust. 435 453 454 458
Resistance to Saint Zhunti
When Saint Zhunti pressures the Witch Race, the remaining Ancestral Witches deploy the Twelve Capital Gods and Demons Array despite their incomplete numbers. The confrontation ends without a decisive battle, but demonstrates the race's refusal to accept humiliation. 601 603
Witch-Demon Alliance
Faced with the Human Race's alliances and growing strength, Eastern Emperor Taiyi approaches the Ancestral Witch Hall to negotiate cooperation. Di Jiang accepts a new alliance with the Demon Race; both sides agree to coordinate against humanity while keeping their armies separate. 1205 1207 1208
Trivia
- The Witch Race's physical bodies are considered its greatest source of pride because its members cannot ordinarily cultivate their Primordial Spirits. 170
- At one point, nearly twenty Witch Race members appeared across the rankings, allowing the race to receive numerous rewards. 398
- Other Primordial beings often viewed the Witch Race more favorably than the Demon Race because the Demon Race was considered responsible for even greater sins. 364
