Background and History
The Human Race begins as a weak people preyed upon by stronger races. The Witch and Demon Races treat humans as food, massacre them in enormous numbers, and use their deaths to refine weapons. Their rapid reproduction and strong collective will nonetheless make Di Jun and Di Jiang view their future rise as an existential threat. 410 486 986
Saint Sanqi changes the race's trajectory by revealing its suffering, conveying part of Dao Master Changkong's Great Dao Treasure Codex, and preaching directly to its people. Her teachings give the Human Race a spiritual backbone, cultural depth, and a path from ordinary life into cultivation. The race responds with a collective vow to defend itself and never decline. 405 406 408 410
The Human Race survives the Human-Demon War with the aid of Sanqi, the Heavenly Machine Tower, and ultimately Changkong Daoist. The Demon and Witch Races are compelled to provide treasures and women afterward, while the Human Race becomes the third pole in the Primordial Chaos World's new balance of power. 710 1036
During the following century of stability, the Human Race relocates its Sacred Land to Shouyang Mountain. There it develops a large city, consolidates its leadership, and gains time to cultivate, build institutions, and establish written inheritance. 710
