Origins and rivalry with the Demon Race

The Witch Clan is Pangu's true bloodline, yet its members lack Primordial Spirits and instead rely on overwhelmingly powerful physical bodies and law-based combat. They absorb Earth Turbid Qi to strengthen themselves, while Pangu Temple suppresses the Endless Earth Abyss and its lingering remnants of the fallen Chaos Demon Gods. 2 3 152

Before the Human Race rose, the Witch Clan ruled the earth while the Demon Race controlled the heavens. Their rivalry for dominance became an enduring conflict, intensified when the Witch Clan barred demons from comprehending the Martial Dao Stone Tablets and slaughtered those who tried. 21 25

Alliance with the Human Race

Huang Tian proposed an equal Human-Witch alliance because the Human Race's cultivation emphasized both body and soul, while the Witch Clan's lack of Nascent Souls left it disadvantaged against spiritual treasures. Intermarriage would create descendants with strong Witch bodies, innate Nascent Souls, and higher reproductive potential. 13

When the Demon Race invaded the Human Race, Dijiang ordered ten million Witch Clan members to assault the Lingxiao Treasure Hall. The attack both exploited the Demon Court's weakened defenses and forced the Demon army to consider returning to reinforce its home territory. 32

The alliance expanded through the Wuren and Renwu hybrid populations. The Witch Clan valued these descendants for their reproductive ability, powerful bodies, Nascent Souls, and capacity to wield Innate Spiritual Treasures. 56 67

Dijiang later swore an eternal alliance with the Human Race, pledging Heaven and Earth's destruction upon the Witch Clan should it betray the pact. Huang Tian accepted the alliance but deliberately avoided binding Human Race fate to the Witch Clan's destiny. 70

Wars against the Demon Race

The Witch Clan's first major assault on the Thirty-three Heavens won a crushing victory before Eastern Emperor Taiyi used the Chaos Bell to kill tens of millions of Witch Clan members. The Twelve Ancestral Witches shielded most survivors and fought Taiyi together. 38

During a later formation battle, the Twelve Ancestral Witches merged their essence blood to manifest the Pangu True Body. Its Chaos Axe devastated the Zhou Tian Star Dou Formation and killed immense numbers of Demon Race combatants, but the Demon Race ultimately detonated its formation, destroying the Pangu True Body and severely damaging both sides. 44

After the Demon Court's formation was lost, Dijiang attempted to capitalize on the Demon Race's weakness by ordering a full extermination offensive. 47

Chiyou's ascension and the clan's fate

After Houtu's transformation into Reincarnation, Chiyou absorbed the Earth Ancestral Witch's essence blood and rose from late Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal to the middle stage of Quasi-Saint. He filled the formation's vacant functional position, though Dijiang named him the Witch Clan's thirteenth brother and kept Houtu's place in remembrance. 152

Seeking guidance from Huang Tian, the Ancestral Witches learned that the Witch Clan's inborn mission was to return its origin to the earth, completing the Prehistoric World. Huang Tian identified Kuafu's posthumous transformation and Houtu's abandonment of Witch status as examples of the merit gained by fulfilling that purpose. 152

Although devastated by this revelation, Dijiang and the other Ancestral Witches chose to continue preparing for their final battle. They reforged the Twelve Capital Divine Gods and Demons Formation and staked the clan's survival on a stronger, longer-lasting Pangu True Body. 152

Withdrawal into the Netherworld

During the invasion of the myriad worlds, the Witch Clan revealed Pangu Temple's status as a Chaos Spirit Treasure to protect itself from enemies seeking its foundation. 163

After the Witch-Demon era ended, the clan publicly renounced its struggle for supremacy, dispersed its fortune, and vowed to order the earth and cleanse its Turbid Qi and Sha Qi. Heaven and Earth acknowledged the proclamation and bestowed merit. 178

At Huang Tian's direction, the Witch Clan entered the Netherworld to guard the Six Paths of Reincarnation and its abundant fiendish, resentful, and Earth Turbid Qi. Protected by Houtu, the clan retained a secure homeland while avoiding further schemes against it. 179 182

Witch Clan members are towering humanoids whose ordinary forms still exceed ten meters in height. Their settlements and tools are predominantly stone-based, and their tribes are distributed around Buzhou Mountain under the twelve Ancestral Witch tribes. 67
