Background

Nuwa created the Human Race on the Shore of the East Sea, declaring her intent to end the suffering caused by the Primordial World's endless slaughter. She used the Nine Heavens Breathing Soil as the foundation, Three Lights Divine Water as the spirit, and Creation Dao Rhyme to shape humanity. The first 3,000 Innate Humans were personally molded and received a drop of her Essence Blood; she later created another 126,600 humans by scattering soil and water with the Human Creation Whip. 1 2

Her act of creation brought down immense merit and enabled her to become the second Heavenly Dao Saint after Hongjun. When the Kongtong Seal, the Human Race's Racial Supreme Treasure, appeared, Nuwa attempted to claim it as humanity's creator, but its power repelled her before it recognized Huang Tian as its master. 1

Following her ascension, Nuwa declared that no being could disturb the Human Race for one million years and established a Sage's Barrier around the East Sea. She also named the Five-Colored Phoenix her mount, Golden Phoenix, and established Wa Huang Palace beyond the heavens. 1

Nuwa remained tied to the Demon Race she had helped establish with Di Jun, Taiyi, and Fuxi. When the Demon Race sought a Celestial Wedding between Di Jun and Xihe, Nuwa accepted their offerings and agreed to preside only if Xihe consented. She personally visited the Lunar Star, explained the wedding's importance to the Heavenly Dao, and used her Sage power to reveal Xihe's fate. 112 113

Xihe rejected Di Jun and accused Nuwa of sacrificing her to safeguard her own cultivation and karma. Huang Tian's intervention shattered the marriage thread formed by the Red Hydrangea Ball, preventing the intended union. Nuwa then withdrew from the Lunar Star after Xihe severed their ties. 114

Nuwa later arranged an alternative Celestial Wedding between Di Jun and Jiufeng of the Nine Phoenix Clan. She officiated their union with the Red Hydrangea Ball and subsequently granted the Demon Race Di Liu Jiang, strengthening its lower- and middle-tier combatants and improving its heritage. 115 117 118

As the Human Race grew, Nuwa's relationship with it deteriorated. Huang Tian condemned her for influencing Human Race Destiny and for failing to protect humanity, while Nuwa permitted the Demon Race to destroy the Shouyang Human Race so long as the East Sea Human Race was spared. 150 154 155

Huang Tian ultimately stripped Nuwa of all Human Race Destiny while retaining ceremonial recognition of her role in humanity's creation. Nuwa regretted choosing the Demon Race over the Human Race after witnessing the latter's overwhelming fortune, but later resented humanity and entered seclusion. 161 185

During the collapse of the heavens, Hongjun ordered Nuwa to fulfill her destined role in repairing the firmament. Working with Huang Tian, she refined 365 Heaven-Mending Divine Stones in the Qiankun Cauldron and used them to seal the rupture, stabilizing the Great Desolation Origin. 172 173

Appearance

Nuwa possesses a human upper body and a snake tail. When she created humanity, she appeared as a peerlessly elegant figure in flowing robes, surrounded by endless Creation Spiritual Light. Her eyes carry both divine majesty and compassion. 1

Personality

Nuwa initially presents herself as compassionate toward suffering beings: her proclamation before creating humanity explicitly cites the violence and misery of the Primordial World. Her million-year protection decree also gave the newly born Human Race time to develop. 1

As a Sage, she is proud, decisive, and highly conscious of karma, destiny, and her own cultivation. She crushed Taiyi beneath her Sage's Might for questioning her, accepted the Demon Race's offerings, and was willing to pressure Xihe toward an unwanted marriage because the Celestial Wedding benefited the Heavenly Dao and her own path. 112 113 114

Her later choices reveal a pragmatic and self-interested side. She allowed the destruction of the Shouyang Human Race to preserve her position and avoid broader conflict, then regretted abandoning humanity only after its destiny eclipsed that of the Witch and Demon Clans. 154 161

Nuwa is nevertheless capable of remorse and selflessness. While repairing the heavens, she chose not to attack Huang Tian or reclaim Human Race Destiny despite recognizing the opportunity, instead prioritizing the survival of the Great Desolation. 173
