Background / History

Di Tian awakened on the Ziwei Emperor Star as the embodiment of Pan Gu’s Heavenly Spirit. Retaining memories from a later life as Zhou Yao, he severed the final imprint of that identity and fully integrated into the Primordial World, becoming the true Lord of Ziwei Star. He resolved not to repeat the fate of earlier Ziwei Star Lords, who were killed, stripped of imperial destiny, or reduced to Heavenly Dao puppets. 1

At his birth, he proclaimed himself the ruler of the Zhou Tian Stars and the orthodox ruler of the Primordial World. The declaration stirred the stars and shortened the gestation of the Zhou Tian Star Gods. 2

Hong Jun and Luo Hou invited him to join their campaign against Beast Emperor Shen Ni. Di Tian refused to leave Ziwei Emperor Star, judging the conflict too dangerous and rejecting the idea of risking himself for unrelated beings. His choice allowed him to survive the Ferocious Beast Calamity and cultivate in relative safety. 3 7

After the calamity, Di Tian descended with Wang Shu, traveled through the Primordial World, and gathered the written inheritances of many races. He later created the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Script, giving the myriad clans a common means of communication and heritage transmission. Heaven and Earth rewarded the deed with a Merit Ocean. 11 14

He founded the Star Radiance Divine Court, established the Zhou Tian calendar, and commanded the Innate Star Gods to recognize his authority. The Star Court subsequently became the dominant force in the Extraterritorial Starry Sky. 22 23

Di Tian later acquired major Pan Gu-related inheritances and treasures, including Pan Gu Heart Blood Essence, Jade Marrow, the Chaos Pearl, and a Jade Tablet of Creation fragment. He used these resources to advance his body, cultivate the Great Dao of Force, and pursue a path capable of accommodating the mysteries of the Three Thousand Great Daos. 18 19 59

Appearance

Di Tian’s true form is a colossal Nine-Clawed Purple-Gold Emperor Dragon. He can also assume a human form, whose presence is marked by immense imperial majesty. 1 2

  • Crown-like dragon horns that pierce the firmament. 1
  • Golden-red dragon whiskers. 1
  • A dragon body described as ten thousand zhang long. 1

Personality

Di Tian is cautious, pragmatic, and exceptionally survival-oriented. He rejected Hong Jun’s recruitment during the Ferocious Beast Calamity because he recognized that an early Great Luo cultivator would likely perish in a battle involving vastly stronger opponents. 3 7

He is also imperious and uncompromising regarding his claimed authority. He believes the beings of the Primordial World should submit willingly, and declares that those who resist his rule should be killed without mercy. 3

Despite his ruthlessness, Di Tian can be patient and strategic. Rather than immediately eliminating every rival, he often preserves opponents or allows limited resistance when doing so prevents Hong Jun from resorting to mutually destructive measures. 30 59 He supports the choices of those close to him, including Yuan Feng’s decision to leave and seek her children. 59
