Shinji drew the Overlords into battle, sealed part of the Breeding Overlord, and began preparing the Shinobi World for a greater threat. While he arranged training and risky experiments to strengthen potential defenders, Obito escaped, awakened a Six Tomoe Rinnegan, and set his sights on Shinji.

• Shinji provoked the Breeding Overlord and fought its gigantic monster, eventually sealing part of it in a moon-sized sphere before the Plague Overlord appeared beyond the barrier.
• Shinji returned to the Shinobi World, resolved to grow a second Chakra Fruit, and learned that Obito was considering escape from the Research Institute.
• Obito escaped with White Zetsu, reclaimed his evolved Sharingan, and sought Sasuke’s Chakra and the Ten-Tails to awaken the Rinnegan.
• Shinji began planning a six-defender system and took Sasuke and Naruto to meet Hagoromo, who agreed to train them toward Six Paths level.
• Shinji expanded Amado’s experiments on prisoners and volunteers, while Deidara, Ranmaru, Kabuto, and Delta swept criminals from across the countries into custody.
• Zabuza became one of the experimental subjects, but Shinji found that his new power still left him far below Shinji and ordered the trials to continue despite Amado’s concerns.
• Obito used his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and White Zetsu Cells to awaken the Six Tomoe Rinnegan, with Shinji secretly boosting the process, then vowed revenge and sought information about the Ten-Tails.

Shinji manipulated Obito into becoming a Ten-Tails sacrifice, then harvested Chakra Fruits to strengthen himself against the Overlords. As he coordinated plans in the Six Rings World and investigated the World Destruction Society, Orochimaru began a dangerous ritual to fuse six sacrifices into himself.

• Obito stole the young Ten-Tails, absorbed it, and attacked Konoha, but Shinji interrupted him and defeated him in a pocket dimension.
• Shinji revealed that he had orchestrated Obito’s path, removed his Six Tomoe Rinnegan, and sealed him, then led the Lantern Bearers as they planned how to stop the Plague Overlord.
• Shinji defeated the World Destruction Society’s ambush and discovered that the Overlord had secretly contaminated all six members’ worlds.
• Shinji brought Shion to the Six Rings World, where the Archmages recognized her magic talent and began preparing to build the Knowledge Tower around her Magic Ring.
• Shinji planted Divine Trees in other worlds, sacrificed Obito, and sent a message that drew Momoshiki and Urashiki toward the Shinobi World.
• Shinji harvested a second Chakra Fruit, consumed it, and transformed his dojutsu as he learned that Kekkei Sōra could convert all things and energy into Chakra.
• Orochimaru began Hiruko’s dangerous ritual using six people who carried Otsutsuki Shibai’s power, but the Demon Seed attacked the site before Orochimaru resumed the fusion.

Shinji cultivated Divine Trees in worlds threatened by the Overlord while the Research Institute approved Hiruko’s second ritual, which drew the Otsutsuki to the Shinobi World. Karin and Hikari helped defeat and capture Momoshiki and Kinshiki, but Urashiki escaped, and the survivors regrouped with Hiruko dead and the Research Institute badly damaged.

• Orochimaru survived Hiruko’s first ritual with power beyond human limits, and Shinji later tested him, proving that Orochimaru could fight at the Six Paths level but still fell to Shinji.
• Shinji planted Divine Trees in Worlds No. 4 and No. 2, escaped World No. 4 before its collapse, and cleansed himself and the small Ten-Tails of the Overlord’s contamination.
• Karin and Hikari reached the Six Paths level, while the Research Institute approved Hiruko’s second ritual under the codename Venus despite warnings about its risks.
• Hiruko secretly increased the ritual’s output and absorbed the Demon Seed, but Urashiki and Kinshiki arrived, attacked the Research Institute, and left Kabuto Yakushi, Delta, and Ranmaru incapacitated.
• Karin confronted Momoshiki at the second Chakra Fruit site, defeated him with her Wood Dragon Susanoo and Tamatsukuri Spear, then sealed him and took him to the Flying Fortress.
• Orochimaru, Yakumo, Haku, Daemon, Ada, and the allied ninjas fought Urashiki and Kinshiki as Haku and the others captured Kinshiki, while Urashiki escaped into another dimension.
• Hikari followed Yakumo into Urashiki’s dimension, but Karin pulled Hikari away from Urashiki’s time-freezing mist before Urashiki escaped through a Space Gate.
• Karin, Hikari, and Yakumo returned to learn that Hiruko had died and more than twenty people had been killed, then Karin and Hikari brought Kinshiki to Momoshiki’s cell, where Momoshiki learned Urashiki had escaped.

Shinji captured Urashiki, explored the altered past, and prepared for the Overlord’s attack on World No. 2 while the Research Institute created Owl through a dangerous ritual. The arc ended with Amado judging Owl and Orochimaru to be powerful but limited, as Orochimaru secretly pursued his own plan through Absorption.

• Shinji seized Momoshiki and Kinshiki’s eyes, fused their Dojutsu into the Golden Eye, and learned that Urashiki was attacking villages across the Shinobi World.
• Shinji trapped Urashiki at the Divine Tree, defeated him, and absorbed his Chakra with the Giant Tenseigan.
• Shinji discovered that Urashiki’s time travel had altered the present, used the Plow to witness the Uchiha massacre, and returned without changing history.
• Shinji warned his allies that the Overlord was eroding the Shinobi World’s spatial barrier, then took Urashiki’s eyes and gained Dragon Palace City.
• Shinji used the Infinite Tsukuyomi to make World No. 2’s people avoid the Divine Trees and destroyed the artificial moon to limit the spread of corruption.
• Owl underwent the Chimera Technique ritual, emerged transformed, and defeated Deidara, Delta, Ranmaru, and Kabuto Yakushi in combat tests.
• Orochimaru secretly developed the Resurrection Plan and discovered Absorption, while Kabuto reported that Owl was gathering followers.
• Amado judged Owl and Orochimaru to be powerful but limited experimental subjects, while Owl accepted a divine art test and Orochimaru considered his own next move.
