Background

Nobara lived alone on the fifth floor of the same Sendai apartment building as Lin Ran. Suspicious of his sudden arrival and already wary because someone had been following her, she mistook his greeting for harassment and threw a punch that cracked the wall when he dodged. She immediately apologized after learning he was only the new neighbor. 5

Although she and Lin Ran became cordial, Nobara had no intention of remaining in Sendai. After resolving her affairs there, she returned to her hometown to pack before leaving for the city she had long wanted to live in, leaving Lin Ran a note: “I’m leaving. Don’t miss me.” 6

She later reunited with Lin Ran, Yuji Itadori, and Megumi Fushiguro as Tokyo Jujutsu High’s four first-years. Her surprise at Lin Ran’s enrollment stemmed from having previously sensed no cursed energy from him. 22

She is blunt and impatient, readily voicing harsh judgments of Yuji, Megumi, and Lin Ran. She also has a competitive streak and dislikes being sidelined in battle, repeatedly arguing with Lin Ran when he tries to claim a curse she intends to exorcise. 22 23 24
