Megumi was already acquainted with Satoru Gojo for many years before Yuji Itadori enrolled at Tokyo Jujutsu High. He is an established student at the school when Gojo brings Yuji and Lin Ran into its first-year class. 17 28

His worldview is rooted in a selective sense of justice. Thinking of his sister Tsumiki and his father, Megumi concludes that evil is not automatically punished and resolves to save people unequally so that good people may have a fairer chance at happiness. 36

Personality

Megumi is reserved, serious, and practical. He keeps his room meticulously clean, dislikes unnecessary socializing, and views classes and missions as sufficient interaction with his peers. 20

His pragmatism can place him at odds with Yuji. During the Juvenile Detention Center mission, Megumi refuses to prioritize recovering the body of Masashi Okazaki, focusing instead on the mission and the survivors. 29

Megumi investigates the curse activity at Sugisawa Third High School and summons Divine Dogs to confront a Cursed Spirit that has consumed Sukuna's Finger. With Yuji creating an opening, Megumi decapitates the spirit with a cursed-energy attack. 8 9

When Yuji becomes Sukuna's vessel, Megumi initially prepares to exorcise him under jujutsu law. After seeing Yuji regain control, he admits that he does not want Yuji to die and asks Gojo to find another solution. 10

Tokyo Jujutsu High First-Year Group
