Revival

• Ghost Revival becomes available when Ling Chu reaches Tier 2 of the Ghost Pirate profession. It costs 100 Magic Energy and revives a soul without requiring skeletal remains 28.
• The choice of form is permanent: a soul revived as a ghost cannot subsequently be revived as a skeleton, and vice versa 28.
• Revival makes the soul visible to others. Hemlock changes from an unseen soul into a pale green ghost while retaining his living appearance 29.
• Animals can also become ghosts. Ling Chu revives Little Yellow as a ghost puppy, and Fluffball later appears as a ghost kitten 164 247.
• Revived servants recognize Ling Chu as their master, distinguishing them from the wandering spirits the crew fears encountering 330.

Appearance

• Ghosts are translucent, greenish spirits capable of floating freely through the air 29 387 453.
• Hemlock retains his human appearance and wears an old-fashioned sailor uniform, with two eerie green flames in his eye sockets 29 207.
• Little Yellow and Fluffball retain recognizable puppy and kitten forms rather than becoming humanoid spirits 164 247.

Ghosts have no physical body and can pass through or possess objects 29.

• Hemlock hides inside Brave the World’s hand crossbow before emerging to attack him 34.
• Little Yellow passes straight through Emily’s leg bones when trying to leap toward her 164.
• Possession allows ghosts to remain protected from sunlight 29.

Ghostly Constitution

Hemlock’s status panel documents the defensive properties and vulnerabilities of his ghost body 29.

• Immunity: physical attacks and some spell attacks cannot harm him 29.
• Sunlight: direct exposure scorches the soul; unpossessed ghosts must remain in shadows during the day or move at night 29 247 461.
• Light and purification: spells and skills of these types deal double damage 29.
• Fire: Ling Chu also describes her ghosts as fearing fire 608.
• Food: Fluffball no longer needs to eat after becoming a ghost 247.

Intimidation / Terrify

Hemlock passes through a target’s body to induce fear. Higher Intelligence reduces the effect’s duration 29 34.

Ghost Flame

Hemlock can throw a spherical ghost fire that scorches the soul, consuming 10 Mana per use 29.

• He uses Ghost Flame alongside Intimidation against intruders aboard the Ghost Ship 207.
• This combat ability is not shared by every ghost: Little Yellow and Fluffball cannot control Ghost Fire 281.

Reconnaissance Through Ghostly Eyes

Ling Chu’s Ghostly Eyes skill links her senses to a Ghost Servant, allowing her to see and hear through it 322.

• The link costs 2 Mana per minute and breaks beyond 500 meters 322.
• She takes Hemlock, Little Yellow, and Fluffball ashore as scouts, using their incorporeal forms to help them withdraw from danger 453.
• The three can explore separate directions, but exposed terrain limits daytime scouting; on one island, she orders them back before sunrise 461.

Known Ghosts

• Hemlock — Titch’s former first mate and Ling Chu’s combat-capable Ghost Servant. He chooses immediate ghost revival to reunite with his old crew, later protecting Ling Chu and helping confront Lucas 29 34 817.
• Little Yellow — A ghost puppy closely attached to Emily. After revival, it excitedly attempts to jump toward her and later accompanies island scouting parties 164 453.
• Fluffball — You Jiali’s cat, restored as a ghost kitten. It remains affectionate toward him and serves as one of Ling Chu’s three linked scouts 247 322 453.
