Background

Before arriving in the survival game, Huang Xiaowen ran a casino. After her father died, she felt she had little left to return to on Blue Star. She lost two fingers after gambling at another casino and losing, an experience that shaped her guarded but defiant attitude toward gambling and debt. 93 94

She initially stayed aboard Ling Chu's ship as a paying guest, astonished by the ship's proper beds and lavish meals. Her casual one-throw kill of a seagull revealed that she was far more capable with a dagger than Ling Chu had expected. 54

She accepts high-stakes bets readily, enjoys teaching skeletons to play mahjong for minor stakes, and is willing to use her Magician abilities to cheat when she believes she can get away with it.
