Background / History

The clan faced impending extermination in Konoha. Rather than stage the planned coup, Yoru prepared a Space-Time Mangekyō route at Naka Shrine to transport the entire clan out of the village. Fugaku initially resisted leaving Konoha but ultimately supported the plan. More than a thousand Uchiha vanished overnight, leaving Konoha unable to find any trace of them 1 19.

In the New World, Yoru revealed that no coup had been planned and presented the relocation as a new beginning away from Konoha’s oppression. The clan established itself in a valley and later built a new settlement on an island through Earth Style techniques, financed in part by wealth Yoru had secretly taken from clan funds 4 20.

The Uchiha encountered the Kuja Tribe and began learning Armament Haki from its warriors. Their rapid adaptation surprised Kikyo, while later exchanges saw Kuja warriors begin chakra cultivation under Uchiha influence 20 21 23.

After acquiring Haki training and Devil Fruits, the clan returned to Konoha following a year of preparation. Under Yoru’s command, they targeted the village leadership and its reinforcements, defeated the opposing clans, captured high-ranking officials, and imposed control over Konoha 68 69 74 76.

Sharingan and Mangekyō Sharingan

The clan’s dōjutsu is its defining combat asset. Multiple members possess Sharingan, while Yoru, Fugaku, Itachi, and Shisui are documented users of Mangekyō Sharingan 1 3 74.
