Naruto is the son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. During the Nine-Tails Rampage, the Masked Man threatened him as a newborn while Kushina struggled to contain the Nine-Tails. The circumstances of the beast’s sealing and his parents’ sacrifice left Naruto orphaned and made him the Nine-Tails’ jinchūriki. 169 179 180

Although he grows up publicly as an unattended orphan, Naruto is regarded by those aware of his heritage as Konoha’s concealed “Crown Prince.” His connections include Minato, Kushina, Jiraiya, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Kakashi, and the Uzumaki bloodline’s historical link to the Senju. 21

Fourth Shinobi World War Encounters

A diary video shows Naruto in stable Nine-Tails Chakra Mode fighting beside Killer B when they encounter reanimated Nagato and Itachi. Naruto tells Nagato that he has learned to control Kurama’s chakra without giving in to hatred and thanks those who helped him reach that point. 444

On another battlefield, Naruto’s shadow clone joins Gaara and Ōnoki against reanimated Madara. Gaara creates an opening for Naruto’s Sage Art: Wind Style: Rasenshuriken, but Madara absorbs it with the Rinnegan.
