Na'er: What's Going On with Gu Yue?
Na'er followed behind Long Yeyue. Just before stepping out of the reception room, she turned her head slightly, her gaze falling over her shoulder onto Ya Li was still sitting in the chair.
Ya Li also raised her eyes, her gaze softening as she met hers.
Immediately, a voice reached Na'er's ears. "Just be yourself, there's no need to be bound by your identity as a disciple of Yun Ming."
Na'er didn't speak, but nodded very slightly, then turned around and stepped over the threshold.
After Na'er left, Ya Li didn't linger and also got up and left.
After her figure disappeared at the end of the corridor, only the Tang Sect members remained in the reception room.
Xie Xie and Xu Xiaoyan's gazes involuntarily fell on Tang Wulin again. The sudden turn of events had taken place too quickly, and they hadn't fully processed it yet.
After a moment of silence, Tang Wulin raised his head, looked at Zang Xin, and began to explain, "Teacher, I..."
Before he could finish speaking, Zang Xin raised her hand to interrupt him, not giving him a chance to continue, "No need to explain, your teacher believes you."
Zang Xin spoke calmly, his eyes filled with a firm trust—not just politeness, but a judgment he had gleaned from his understanding of Tang Wulin.
He paused, then sighed, his voice tinged with emotion. "Perhaps you really are the one chosen by the Vast Sea Cosmic Crystal, perhaps you are the one destined to make Shrek Academy rise again."
He paused, a hint of helplessness in his voice. "Unfortunately, Elder Long's choice is Na'er."
Upon hearing this, Tang Wulin lowered his head again. He knew better than anyone that he was not some chosen one.
Everything that just happened was orchestrated from beginning to end by that mysterious Old Tang; he didn't even make a single choice of his own.
But he didn't expect that even Zang Xin, Limit Douluo, hadn't noticed Old Tang's presence.
Tang Wulin clenched his fist on his knee, a question churning in his mind.
Who exactly is Old Tang?
With the Vast Sea Cosmic Crystal now inside his body, Tang Wulin knew that all the mysteries surrounding the recent events would likely only be cleared up when Old Tang contacted him again.
He slowly exhaled, as if to temporarily set aside those chaotic thoughts.
He looked up at Zang Xin and asked, "Teacher, Shrek Academy... really be rebuilt one day?"
Zang Xin remained silent for a moment upon hearing this. He lowered his eyes and tapped his fingertips lightly on the back of the chair twice, as if he were pondering the question.
After a moment, he slowly spoke, "Shrek Academy has a history of ten thousand years, and its graduates are spread throughout all levels of the Federation, from the military to the political world, from the business world to the Soul Master World, Shrek's presence can be seen everywhere."
"So even if the academy's premises are destroyed, these people are still here, and they will secretly support its reconstruction."
He paused, his tone slightly somber. "But at the same time, there are many within the Federation who do not want to see Shrek rebuilt."
"Such an academy will unite people, pool resources, and exert influence independent of the Federation framework."
"Some people are happy to see it fall, and naturally won't easily allow it to rise again."
"However..." Zang Xin raised his gaze slightly, "If we plan secretly and proceed step by step, the reconstruction of Shrek shouldn't be an unattainable goal."
"This path will be much more difficult and much longer."
"As for whether it can be restored to its former heights... that depends on what the people after the reconstruction are capable of."
He then turned to look at Tang Wulin, a hint of helplessness flashing in his eyes. "But now is clearly not the best time to rebuild the academy. Elder Long has chosen the wrong time; not only will it be counterproductive, but it may also attract more unnecessary resistance."
Zang Xin softened his tone slightly as he said this, "Don't feel any pressure. Just continue your cultivation as usual. Let me know as soon as you make contact with that Vast Sea Cosmic Crystal."
Tang Wulin nodded solemnly. "Yes, teacher."
After leaving the Tang Sect, Long Yeyue and Na'er did not linger in the city and headed straight for Shrek City.
The disaster a few years ago was too violent; the entire academy was razed to the ground by the attack of Soul Guidance Cannon.
Most of the academy's teachers chose to shield the students from the Destruction God impact with their Life God; it was their sacrifice that saved a significant number of students.
Shrek Academy's legacy spans millennia, and it's not just the buildings on the ground.
Beneath the academy lies a vast space, a "refuge" built by the academy to cope with the crisis, where the surviving students of that disaster now hide.
These students, grateful for the protection of their teachers at the academy, have been diligently cultivating their skills underground.
Even their families believed their children had perished in the disaster. No one knew that beneath the ruins of Shrek City, a group of teenagers were quietly growing up.
It must be said that Shrek's Glory does indeed have an extremely strong cohesive force.
This incident alone shows that their belief has transcended familial affection.
Perhaps it's a case of the blind spot, or perhaps the Qiangu Dongfeng no longer takes Shrek Academy seriously, never sending anyone to investigate or monitor this ruin.
In short, these surviving trainees, even though they occasionally went in and out of the ruins above, were never discovered by anyone.
Na'er returned this time not alone; she brought Sima Jinchi with her.
This further convinced Long Yeyue that Na'er was the "restoration leader" who would lead Shrek Academy to rise again, especially since she brought back a Titled Douluo as soon as she returned.
She walked through the underground space and saw many familiar faces.
The students I once met at the academy all had faces that were thinner and more silent than before, but also more resolute.
With these people around, Shrek Academy might actually have a chance to be rebuilt.
Unfortunately, she, the successor of the Sea God Pavilion, ultimately returned with other motives.
Although the underground space of the Shrek Academy is vast, the resources are ultimately limited. Even though Na'er is now regarded by Long Yeyue as the "restoration leader," the room she was assigned is not large.
A bed, a table, and a chair were all the furnishings.
Na'er sat on the edge of the bed, her long, silvery-white hair gleaming softly in the light.
She glanced down at the Soul Guidance Communicator in her hand, her fingertips lingering on the dial button for a moment before pressing that familiar number.
A faint glow appeared on the surface of the communicator, and the call was connected a moment later.
Na'er's calm voice rang out in the small room. "Hey."
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the communicator, followed by a steady voice tinged with excitement. "My Lord!"
The Na'er was contacting at that moment was naturally Di Tian.
She didn't beat around the bush and asked directly, "What's the situation with Gu Yue now?"
Di Tian respectfully replied, "The plan is progressing steadily. Because we have developed the technology to create artificial Ten-Thousand-Year Spirit Soul, Your Lord now highly regarded in the Spirit Pagoda, and your status has been significantly elevated!"
Upon hearing this, Na'er's silver eyes flickered slightly, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously twitched.
She scoffed inwardly, then asked, "Where's Huo Yuhao?"
