Background

Taichu awakened with Innate Full Soul Power, but his eye-type Body Martial Soul was classified as a low-grade “Trash Martial Soul.” Although Ma Xiunuo believed he was qualified for Martial Soul Academy, Bibi Dong ordered the academy not to admit him and dispatched Su Yuntao on a three-month Angel Hunting Squad mission. Taichu remained composed and cultivated independently, including refining Whale Rubber to strengthen himself 2.

His first soul ring came from an approximately 1,100-year Phantom Domain Spirit Fox. The resulting soul skill, Tsukuyomi, established the pattern of his Dojutsu manifesting as soul skills 8 9. He later developed his Mangekyou Sharingan through arena combat, using masked one-on-one matches to observe, copy, and refine other Soul Masters’ skills 13 14.

After obtaining his second ring in Sunset Forest, Taichu traveled between cities for over four months, copied lightning-type skills, and avoided pursuit by the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. He returned to Nuoding City as a seven-year-old Level 24 Soul Grand Master with two millennium rings 22.

Taichu became closely connected to Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan after providing a means to resolve the Jade Phosphor Snake poison issue. Following the evolution of Dugu Bo’s and Dugu Yan’s martial souls, Dugu Bo accepted Taichu as his future grandson-in-law 32. With Dugu Bo’s support, Taichu founded Samsara Academy, partly intending to oppose Yu Xiaogang’s influence in the academy world 37 38 57.

His exceptional advancement and repeated conflicts with Spirit Hall, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, and the Clear Sky Sect made him a major political target. The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan ultimately sought to arrange his assassination through outside forces rather than act openly 190 191 192.

Taichu is calm, calculating, and intensely focused on cultivation. He treats combat as a practical learning tool, entering Soul Fighting Arenas not merely to win but to observe opponents’ soul-power circulation and expand his usable techniques 13 14.

He is cautious with information and alliances. He conceals his soul-ring configuration, keeps newly gained soul-bone abilities private, and distrusts Spirit Hall due to its prior attempt on his life 9 193 194. Even when confronting stronger opponents, he studies their weaknesses and waits for advantageous timing rather than rushing in 143 390.

Taichu can be sarcastic and provocative toward enemies, especially those who demean his martial soul or threaten people under his protection 13 270. He is also ruthless when dealing with hostile forces, preventing the Clear Sky Sect’s Fourth Elder from self-destructing so Yang Wudi could pursue revenge 276.
