Background / History

Thor joined Iron Man and Hulk in investigating Captain America's disappearance after the battle with Red Skull. Three months later, he attended the Avengers' emergency meeting on the global Super Jiangshi outbreak and volunteered to accompany Tony Stark through time to find a Taoist exorcist capable of countering the threat. 1

During the mission, Thor initially underestimated Guan Heng, then helped Tony forcibly bring him aboard the time shuttle and restrain him for the Super Serum procedure. 1

Later, Thor and Sif sought Guan Heng and Tony's help after Thor's magic belt was stolen from Asgard. The theft proved to be Loki's scheme to draw Thor away while he targeted Odin. 35 36 38

Thor fought Frost Giants and Giant Beasts at Asgard's entrance alongside Sif, while Guan Heng stopped Loki from harming Odin. Odin criticized Thor for focusing on the battle rather than protecting his sleeping father, then ordered Thor to continue his trials in the mortal world without returning to Asgard without permission. 37 38 39

Despite his confidence, Thor is capable of embarrassment and self-awareness. He is humiliated by the loss of his belt, sincerely asks Guan Heng for help, and immediately acknowledges his failure when Odin confronts him. 35 36 38
