Raditz's Battle

Raditz was no longer the man he had been when he arrived. His battle armor was damaged in multiple places, revealing the muscles beneath, and his face was covered in bruises. A trickle of blood even leaked from the corner of his mouth; it was clear that the battle had not been easy for him.

Raditz's foundation was simply too poor, and he lacked the fighting spirit a Saiyan should possess. To sustain such injuries while clearing out mere cannon fodder weaker than himself left Turles feeling quite dissatisfied.

"Hmph!" With a cold snort, Turles continued to watch the unfolding battle.

In truth, Raditz was feeling a desire to retreat. He was the type of person who bullied the weak and feared the strong, and having been injured in the previous exchange, he would have given up long ago if not for the fact that he could feel Turles's cold, piercing gaze fixed upon him.

He still didn't understand why Turles insisted on bringing him along and constantly training him. In terms of combat power, Vegeta was far stronger than he was, and Raditz was well aware of his own limitations. However, cowed by Turles's strength, he dared not resist.

But since there was no way out, the dormant fighting instinct within Raditz's Saiyan blood was finally ignited. His eyes turned fierce, and he locked his gaze onto the Pirate Leader opposite him.

Though he didn't know what had changed in Raditz, the Pirate Leader did not miss the shift in his eyes. Thinking of the two other Saiyans watching from the sidelines, the Pirate Leader decided to stop holding back!

"Ha!" With a loud shout, the Pirate Leader launched his attack. He fired an energy blast first, then shot forward like a projectile, charging rapidly toward Raditz in the wake of the blast.

He had used this tactic to ambush many opponents stronger than himself. Wary of the Saiyans' reputation, he used it immediately. Thinking that he was about to kill a Saiyan, the Pirate Leader felt a surge of excitement, and a savage grin curled his lips.

Raditz chose not to meet the energy blast head-on, dodging to the side just before it reached him. However, he hadn't expected the Pirate Leader to be following right behind the blast, leaving his body completely exposed to the enemy. Looking at the grinning foe, Raditz had no time to react; he could only raise his arms as best he could to block the incoming strike.

Unfortunately, Raditz miscalculated. The Pirate Leader had no intention of attacking his upper body. His strike landed squarely on Raditz's abdomen, the full-force blow sending Raditz's body flying backward.

With his abdomen struck, Raditz coughed up blood continuously, his body spiraling out of control. He crashed through several small hills before finally coming to a stop, collapsing weakly into the rubble.

Watching Raditz's pathetic performance, Turles shook his head in silence. He wondered what Bardock would think if he knew his eldest son was such a waste!

Seeing that the Pirate Leader intended to finish Raditz off for good, Turles, unable to watch any longer, finally made his move.

In the blink of an eye, Turles appeared above Raditz as if he had teleported. With a light lift of his hand, he easily caught the Pirate Leader's lethal blow.

Seeing his strongest attack intercepted so effortlessly, the expression on the Pirate Leader's face froze, and his eyes began to fill with terror.

For the current Turles, anyone with a combat power under ten thousand could not stir his desire to fight. After all, he did not possess the pure, childlike love for combat that Son Goku had—the ability to find joy in battle regardless of the opponent's strength.

"Don't kill me, I beg you!" The Pirate Leader couldn't help but plead for mercy.

But it was useless to Turles. He raised his right hand, and a massive amount of energy began to gather in his palm, gradually forming a bright ball of light.

Seeing that his pleas were in vain, the Pirate Leader's eyes turned ruthless. He immediately erupted with a powerful aura, and his physique began to change.

This Pirate Leader actually possessed a rare transformation ability. Turles dissipated the Ki Blast in his hand and watched with newfound interest as the Pirate Leader's aura continued to rise.

1500!

2000!

2500!

3000!

3500!

The intensity of his aura finally settled at 4500. His combat power had tripled, which was decent enough.

However, the Pirate Leader's appearance had become even more hideous. He looked like an oversized frog, his head covered in grotesque, fleshy tumors.

Turles curled his lip in disgust. He thought about the Saiyan Super Saiyan transformation—not only did it make the user look cooler and more imposing, but it also boosted combat power by a staggering 50 times, to say nothing of Super Saiyan 2 or Super Saiyan 3!

Having completely lost interest, Turles raised his right palm again. Energy gathered rapidly, and a basketball-sized sphere of light soon formed in his hand. He pushed the energy ball directly toward the enemy charging at him.

The sphere appeared to move slowly, but in reality, it was incredibly fast. Before the Pirate Leader could react, it was already right in front of him, and then it began to expand violently!

"No!" With that final roar, a mushroom cloud rose into the sky, and the terrifying sound of the explosion began to ripple outward.

When the dust and smoke cleared, a circular crater with a diameter of one hundred meters had appeared on the ground. The Pirate Leader's body had long since been vaporized, leaving no trace behind.

If he were still the ordinary person from his past life, Turles certainly wouldn't have been able to disregard taking a life so callously. But the memories of Turles had influenced him; while he hadn't become entirely cold-blooded, his temperament still retained a decisive and ruthless edge.

Furthermore, these space pirates were all stained with blood, which made Turles feel even less burdened.

Having finished off this small fry who barely qualified as an enemy, Turles turned around and looked at the dying Raditz beneath the rocks, his eyes deep and unreadable.

Raditz looked at Turles weakly, his eyes revealing both fear of Turles and a desperate craving for life. He was afraid—afraid that Turles would abandon him. As a Saiyan, he knew the nature of his race all too well: once someone was deemed a burden, a Saiyan could abandon anyone, even their own comrade.

"Turles, please, save me! Please don't leave me behind!" Raditz couldn't help but plead.

"Raditz, this is the first and last time! If there is a next time, I won't hesitate to finish you off myself!" After dropping those words, Turles had Broly carry Raditz back to the ship, then turned and flew toward Jaco and Tights.

Turles's cold display just now had made Tights fully realize the ruthless side of a Saiyan. She didn't dare act out again and stood obediently behind Jaco, even though Jaco's legs were shaking even worse than hers.

"Jaco, you can fly, right?" Seeing their reaction, Turles didn't mind and asked casually.

"I... I can!" Jaco replied, stuttering.

"Good! Keep up!" With that, he ignored Tights's exclamation, grabbed her by the belt, and flew toward the ship while carrying her.

Landing in front of the ship, Turles set Tights down and strode inside.

Once her feet touched the ground, Tights smoothed out her clothes and couldn't help but mutter under her breath, "You're really not a gentleman. Who treats a lady like that? Watch out, or you'll never find a girlfriend!"

Turles paused for a moment upon hearing this, then continued walking, muttering in a voice loud enough for Tights to hear clearly, "I don't like women older than me!"

This remark infuriated Tights. She gestured wildly at Turles's retreating back, wishing she could grab him and give him a good beating.

Suddenly, Turles stopped and spun around. Tights, still in the middle of her antics, froze in place. Seeing the smirk on Turles's face, Tights's cheeks turned bright red. Finally, she couldn't help but let out a shriek, covered her face, and crouched down on the ground.

"Hahaha!" Seeing that Tights had such a cute side to her, Turles was in a great mood and burst into laughter.

Seeing that this young lady, who had traveled across the universe, was about to lose all composure, Turles finally stifled his laughter and arranged, "Someone will show you to a room shortly. You can wash up first. As for clothes, just make do for now; we can buy more when we reach the next transit planet."

After saying this, Turles turned and walked away.

Hearing Turles's footsteps gradually fade, Tights finally stood up. Watching his back as it was about to disappear, the blush on her face slowly dissipated, and the corners of her mouth curled up slightly!

"How interesting!"

Inside the medical room!

Turles saw Raditz already submerged in the medical tank and asked, "How long will he need?"

A member of the Kabru race standing behind Turles immediately replied, "My lord, Raditz's injuries are primarily external. His internal organs are not severely damaged, so he will be fully recovered in just one day."

"Hmm!" Turles nodded, continuing to watch the unconscious Raditz.

Raditz's performance this time had truly disappointed him. To be beaten into such a critical state without even forcing the enemy to transform was worse than an ordinary low-class Saiyan warrior. One had to realize that the Saiyans who participated in planetary invasions had a minimum combat power of around 1,000, and Raditz had been assessed as having high-class warrior potential the moment he was born. Yet, the result was truly pathetic!

Since that was the case, he would have to take drastic measures.

"Your name is Kara, right?" Turles searched his memory for the name of this Kabru.

"Uh, my lord! I'm actually Kashi; Kara is the one in charge of ship maintenance." The Kabru looked a bit nervous.

Turles felt a bit awkward upon hearing this. It wasn't really his fault, though; these Kabru all looked far too similar.

"Fine! Kashi, once Raditz wakes up, tell him to come find me in the training room immediately. Also, do not give him his scouter back!"

"Yes, my lord!"

Nodding, Turles left the medical room.

Walking through the ship's corridor, Turles began to think about how he should train Raditz. Before he could come to a conclusion, he was intercepted halfway by Paragus.

"What is it, Paragus?" Looking at the excited expression on Paragus's face, Turles was somewhat puzzled.
