"It's a Saiyan!" Jaco exclaimed in a low voice as he watched the three figures appear.
"Saiyan? What's a Saiyan? They look just like Earthlings! But I don't think there are any humans with tails on Earth!" Tights asked, confused by Jaco's words.
"Saiyans are a warrior race famous throughout the universe, a combat unit of the Frieza Force, the emperors of the universe. They conquer and sell planets for Frieza—a truly evil race!" Jaco explained to Tights, but immediately added with a puzzled look, "However, I heard that the Saiyan home planet, Planet Vegeta, was struck by a meteorite many years ago, and all the Saiyans were wiped out in that planetary destruction. Where did they pop up from? Could they be survivors from somewhere else?"
"Hmm? An evil race? They don't look like it to me. Except for the one with long hair, the other two look quite kind. And they're very handsome, too!" Tights couldn't help but praise them at the end.
"Kind? Are you blind, Tights?" Jaco couldn't believe Tights was swooning at a time like this, actually thinking the Saiyans were handsome. He couldn't help but mutter a complaint.
Tights rolled her eyes at Jaco, keeping her gaze fixed on the three people in the sky.
Indeed, the ones who had appeared were Turles and his two companions, and it was Raditz who had just made the move.
After receiving the distress signal from the Galactic Patrol, and with the intention of dealing with the Galactic Patrol in the future, Turles ultimately decided to save the patrolman, so he had Karl pilot the ship near the Kano Planet sector.
While the space pirates were still in space, Turles had already determined their strength through ki sensing. After confirming there were no opponents with excessive power, he left Paragus to guard the ship and brought Broly and Raditz to land on Kano Planet, following behind the pirates.
However, to Turles' surprise, this Galactic Patrolman turned out to be someone he recognized—the "Superhuman" Jaco—so he had let Raditz step in at the last moment to save the two of them.
So that beautiful woman with the golden hair must be Bulma's sister, Tights. Looking at the figure standing behind Jaco, Turles confirmed to himself.
The appearance of Turles and his group broke the calm between the two sides. Not only was Jaco terrified of the Saiyans, but the space pirates were also extremely wary of their arrival!
During the Frieza Force's campaigns to conquer planets, space pirates were often their rivals. The two sides had clashed many times over the rights to planets, and the space pirates had naturally heard of the reputation of the Saiyans as a warrior race.
"Saiyans, we don't need this planet. Just hand these two over to us, and we'll leave the planet immediately!" the pirate leader said to the three of them, his voice tough but his words clearly a concession.
"Oh?" Turles became interested upon hearing this. "But you've already been surrounded by us. Why should I listen to you?"
As soon as Turles finished speaking, the scene fell deathly silent!
"Is this Saiyan bad at counting?" Jaco muttered to Tights, which made her burst into laughter.
Tights felt that the young Saiyan before her was not at all as evil as Jaco had described; on the contrary, he was quite interesting, and especially handsome!
Tights' laughter broke the silence, and everyone present snapped back to reality.
Raditz gave Turles a strange look, but he secretly noted the line. He had asked Broly about it; all those sharp-tongued remarks Paragus used when training him had been learned from Turles.
The pirate leader looked at his men, then at the three people opposite them. His expression turned ugly, and he glared at Turles with a dark look.
"Saiyan, don't push your luck!"
Seeing that the pirate leader couldn't handle the situation, Turles lost interest in continuing the charade. He gave Raditz a look and flew toward Jaco.
Seeing Turles make his move, the pirates, who had been staring at him, launched an attack immediately, showering the three of them with a barrage of energy blasts.
Turles ignored the energy blasts, continuing to fly straight toward Jaco and his companion. Just as the blasts were about to strike, a figure blocked his path and swiftly swatted them away. It was Raditz.
Turles had already told Raditz beforehand that he was to handle this entire battle himself.
After training, Raditz's combat power had reached approximately 1,200. After all, the time had been too short. The strongest among this group of pirates was their leader, who possessed a combat power of 1,500. With Raditz's current strength, while it might be a difficult fight, there was no threat to his life.
After taking Raditz in, Turles had decided to have Paragus begin training him. Once they had a gravity room, he wouldn't let him off easy either. The Saiyans were too few in number, and relying solely on Turles and Broly wasn't enough. Therefore, for every Saiyan he took in, as long as they had potential, Turles would push them to their absolute limit. Besides, he was still looking forward to seeing Raditz with that Super Saiyan 3 hairstyle while in his base form.
Having learned of Turles's plan, Raditz felt a pang of regret for following him, but he dared not defy Turles's orders. He could only accept the task with a bitter expression.
"Hah!" With a loud shout, Raditz charged directly at the remaining pirates.
"What do we do, Tights? That evil Saiyan is flying toward us! We're definitely done for!" Jaco kept whispering to Tights, completely oblivious to the fact that Tights was rolling her eyes so hard they were about to disappear into the back of her head.
"Thud!" Turles landed in front of the pair.
Examining the two before him, Turles found that Jaco was indeed very similar to the giant he remembered from his memories who had wanted to borrow his light. Tights, meanwhile, was truly worthy of the Brief Family genes; despite being thirty years old, she still looked like she was twenty. Time had not left a mark on her; instead, it had only added to her charm.
"Aren't you afraid of me?" Turles asked first. Although it was a question, his tone was extremely certain.
"Why should I be afraid of you, little brother?" Tights was indeed a strong-willed woman who dared to roam the universe with Jaco alone. Not only was she not afraid, but she even teased Turles. Perhaps it was because Saiyans looked so much like Earthlings that she felt a sense of familiarity.
However, Tights's words scared Jaco so much that his eyes rolled back, and he fainted on the spot!
"Heh!" Turles was amused by Jaco's performance, letting out a soft chuckle as he looked at Tights with a playful expression.
Understanding the meaning in Turles's eyes, Tights secretly gritted her teeth and angrily kicked the unconscious Jaco. Jaco's body twitched, and seeing this, she realized he was faking it, which only made her more annoyed.
"Alright, let's get acquainted. Turles, a Saiyan!" Seeing that Tights wanted to kick him again, Turles interrupted her and introduced himself.
Straightening her messy hair, Tights also put on a serious face. "Tights, an Earthling, and also a writer!" She finished by extending her right hand.
However, she quickly realized that the person in front of her wouldn't know the Earthling custom of a handshake, so she sheepishly retracted her hand. It was just that Turles gave her such a feeling of being a true Earthling that she had performed the gesture subconsciously.
It must be said, a woman's intuition is sometimes truly terrifying!
Watching Tights perform the handshake gesture, a flash of complexity crossed Turles's eyes, though he quickly suppressed it.
Although Turles had hidden it quickly, Tights, who had been staring at his face, caught it, and she couldn't help but feel a bit suspicious.
Noticing Tights's confusion, Turles didn't say anything, simply continuing, "You were the ones who sent that distress signal, right? I can help you leave, but you must take us to the Galactic Patrol headquarters!"
"Impossible! I won't take an evil Saiyan to headquarters!" Hearing Turles's demand, Jaco could no longer keep up the act and loudly rejected him.
"Hmm?" Rejected by Jaco, Turles's brow furrowed immediately. His cold, piercing gaze fell upon Jaco, and a terrifying aura began to radiate from his body.
Despite being under Turles's terrifying pressure, Jaco unexpectedly did not compromise. Even as cold sweat poured down and his legs shook, he stood his ground.
Tights wanted to speak up, but feeling the terrifying sensation emanating from Turles, she could only look at Jaco with worry.
After a brief standoff, Turles withdrew his aura, and Jaco immediately collapsed to the ground. Seeing this, Tights hurried forward to support him.
"Fine, I won't go to the Galactic Patrol headquarters, but you have to help me find someone—Merus, a blue-skinned patrolman!" Turles took a step back and put forward another request.
"Merus?" Jaco asked, astonished.
"Hm? What? You know him?"
"If it's the person you're talking about, I do know him. But why are you looking for Merus?"
"...To become his apprentice!" After a moment of silence, Turles gave an unexpected answer.
"Become his apprentice? x2" Even Tights, standing to the side, was shocked by Turles's answer.
"Yes!" Turles nodded again, confirming it.
"You're a Saiyan looking to apprentice under a Galactic Patrolman, and someone weaker than you at that? Did you get water in your brain?" Jaco blurted out exactly what he was thinking.
"Hm?"
Smack!
Turles glared at Jaco the moment he heard those words, and Tights was so speechless she slapped her own forehead.
Realizing he had said something he shouldn't have, Jaco gave them a sheepish grin, but in the end, he still agreed to the request to introduce Turles to Merus.
Meanwhile, Raditz had finished clearing out all the low-level grunts and had begun his final battle with the pirate leader. The three of them stopped talking and turned their attention to the two fighting.
