Background / History

Bi Ji is the matriarch of the Emerald Swan clan and the most powerful healing-type spirit beast in the Star Dou Forest's core area. Unlike most spirit beasts, she does not hold blanket hostility toward humans, possessing a strong compassion for life despite understanding the conflict between humans and spirit beasts. 34

When Jiang Bai was critically injured after his encounter with Bibi Dong, his three dragon beasts brought him to Emerald Lake and begged Bi Ji for help. After learning that their souls were bound to Jiang Bai through his mutated martial soul, Bi Ji treated his wounds and allowed the group to remain by the lake while he recovered. 34

Bi Ji later discovered that the Three-Eyed Golden Ni had used her Eye of Destiny on the unconscious Jiang Bai. Though concerned by the reckless act, she continued to treat the Auspicious Beast with affectionate restraint rather than severe punishment. 35 36

After Jiang Li'er transformed into human form and sought to explore the human world, Bi Ji followed and protected her. She repelled a powerful Title Douluo's pressure after Jiang Li'er attacked Tang San, then admonished Li'er for acting without checking an opponent's backing. 38 43

Bi Ji later accompanied Jiang Li'er during her confrontation with Jiang Bai. She watched over Li'er during the spar, healed her injuries afterward, and became wary when Snow Empress showed clear interest in the Emperor Auspicious Beast. 72 74
