Thor and Kismet passed through the Ultra-Long Distance Teleportation Array and finally returned to the Eskaper Continent.
Thor had just stepped out of the Ultra-Long Distance Teleportation Array when he suddenly stopped. He closed his eyes and hung motionless in the air for a moment.
Just as Kismet was about to urge him on, Thor opened his eyes again.
"Let's go to the coast. The Eye of the Abyss has appeared off Eskaper's northern shore."
Kismet stroked his chin. "Wasn't it supposed to appear in the middle of the continent? How did it end up out at sea?"
He looked up and saw that Thor had already teleported away. He hurried after him.
In the waters north of Iskape, a gigantic vortex was slowly taking shape.
A large quantity of black, churning liquid appeared at its center. It seemed less dense than ordinary seawater, roiling up from the unseen depths below.
The seawater churned violently. Water vapor rose high into the sky and turned into clouds, but today those clouds were unusually dark.
Thor appeared beneath the heavy clouds.
He looked down and saw the enormous vortex on the seabed.
Along with the black tide, a huge shadow seemed to be rolling around inside it.
Thor knew this scene all too well. It was exactly what he had seen in his precognitive dream.
He turned to look behind him, and sure enough, a huge shadow was riding the wind and waves toward the place where the Abyss lay.
