Thor was now unable to move, and couldn't help Camus. It was impossible for him to go to Camus's aid.

Ignoring Camus's cries for help, Thor shifted his gaze, trying to see the red objects he had spotted earlier.

In this second field of vision, he finally realized that the red objects at the edges were the Red Worms, which had rushed back just in time.

Under the control of the Half-Elf and the Wizards, the Red Worms were fighting the Anchor Point Monsters that were constantly devouring the Eskaper Continent.

The inactive Red Worms naturally couldn't actively kill their enemies, but they could swallow them and bind themselves to the Anchor Point Monsters, stopping them from moving. As they struggled and ground against each other, the Red Worms and the monsters they had swallowed perished together.

The other Wizards, Tier 3 and below, couldn't get too close to the Eye of the Abyss either. They could only help control the Red Worms from a distance or wear down the Anchor Point Monsters with long-range Witchcraft.

Even so, many Wizards still died beneath the monsters' attacks. Some low-tier Wizards were merely grazed by the Anchor Point Corruption before transforming into new monsters and even attacking their allies.

For a time, red, blue, and black flashes of magic flared and faded, vivid yet fleeting.

Life ebbed away, little by little, amid that dazzling display.

It was like the future of the Wizard World: there was always a glimmer of hope, only for it to quickly give way to despair.

In the first field of vision, the one Douglas had taken over, the strength of Wizards below Tier 4 was too faint for Thor to see at all.
