History and Dissemination

The Pachi Tribe has preserved Divine Script knowledge for millennia, alongside a dangerous inherited method of forcibly opening Aura Nodes. Repeated losses of priests and Nen users caused breaks in the tribe's inheritance, leaving much of its Sacred Land knowledge inaccessible. 71 83

The tribe's underground ruins preserve an extensive Divine Script system. Its stone forest functions as a Nen supply network, while its defenses protect Pachi Village, create the Devouring Land, and trap intruders in illusions. 72

At the Heavenly Arena, Divine Script was initially used to maintain tournament arenas because ordinary structures could not withstand Nen users' destructive power. Maintenance required specialized Nen users hired at considerable expense. 21

After obtaining information from Divine Script users and the Pachi Tribe, Lu Qi expanded its use at the Heavenly Arena through dedicated research teams. Their work covered weapons, clothing, buildings, Nen applications, and the Gravity Training Room. 56 83 97

Divine Script equipment became a major factor in the Heavenly Arena's King of Fighters Tournament, where weapons and clothing could overcome gaps in Nen quantity or Flow control. 108 By this period, Divine Script use had become routine among Floor Masters, who commonly learned simple scripts to improve their combat options. 244 416

Limitations
