Background / History

Biscuit enters the Heavenly Arena's Fighting Tournament as a Heart Source School disciple. Her muscular build and technique-based fighting lead other contestants to mistake her for an Enhancer. Before Lu Qi visits her, she has not lost a single match 16 17.

At eighteen, she challenges Lu Qi to assess whether his reputation is deserved. She offers to help him become Netero's direct disciple if his strength impresses her. Their privately arranged match lasts more than twenty minutes before she concedes, establishing mutual respect between them 17.

Over the next two years, Biscuit and Lu Qi become close friends. She eventually leaves Keli City to take the Hunter Exam and pursue a career as a Gem Hunter; Lu Qi declines her invitation to accompany her. She returns at twenty-nine, seeking stronger opponents and finding a city transformed by new dojos, industries, and arena infrastructure 23 29 30.

Appearance

  • Original form: A tall, blond-haired, heavily muscular woman with rugged features. Her physique is already imposing at eighteen, and spectators frequently misjudge her gender or Nen category 12 17 284.
  • Preferred youthful form: A small girl's appearance maintained through her Rejuvenation Technique. She continues to favor this form despite its combat restrictions 29 269.
  • Disguises: Can adopt a blond adolescent boy's appearance or imitate Lu Qi's youthful face through body alteration and a Nen “Painted Skin” 275 277.
  • Combat clothing: Wears a martial arts uniform during her match with Netero, allowing her to return to her much larger original form without the problems posed by ordinary clothing 284.

Personality

Biscuit is a dedicated training enthusiast who actively seeks opponents capable of exposing her weaknesses. When her cultivation reaches a bottleneck, she challenges Lu Qi rather than remaining comfortable at the arena. He eventually replaces Netero as her principal target to catch up to, partly because he belongs to roughly her own generation 125 268.

Her love of gems extends to talented people: she regards promising fighters as uncut stones worth polishing. This outlook leads her to encourage Kastro after his defeat and take an interest in Gon, Killua, and Zushi. She combines that generosity with demanding standards, bluntly finding the parallel Wing deficient in martial arts, physique, Nen, and ability development 271 273 274.

She enjoys teasing younger fighters and playing the senior instructor, but values an independent martial path. Although impressed by Lu Qi's Five Great Spirits, she declines his offer to teach them because she is concerned about his influence on her own cultivation 149 274 382.

Abilities & Skills

Physical Strength and Nen Fundamentals

Biscuit's strength is built through sustained bodily conditioning, Nen practice, assisted recovery, and gravity-room training rather than an Enhancement affinity 16 269 282.

  • Can defeat ordinary Nen users with basic punches and kicks; her durability and physique repeatedly cause observers to assume she is an Enhancer 269.
  • Uses En for broad reconnaissance, locating fighters and investigating the layout of unfamiliar arenas 269.
  • Adapts Water Divination into a battlefield countermeasure: by treating a lake as the testing vessel and infusing its water with Nen, she weakens Huoqila's control without attempting to control the water herself 136.
  • Trains outside her natural category, including Enhancement-based recovery. Her high Nen reserves allow these applications to remain effective despite category inefficiency 281 282.

Miss Cookie is Biscuit's first Nen ability, originally created to support her training through massage. Its recovery benefits give her substantially more effective practice time than ordinary fighters 16 62.

  • Training recovery: Relieves fatigue and allows demanding training to be sustained 62 369.
  • Healing: Later restores Kastro's injuries completely, refreshes him, and partially replenishes his Nen 271 272.
  • Post-battle treatment: Heals minor injuries, removes fatigue, and restores Nen in her parallel counterpart 276.
  • Continued development: Biscuit studies similar abilities created by other female fighters and uses their innovations to improve her own. Her later Miss Cookie has a changed appearance and visible Divine Script on its clothing 116 271.

Rejuvenation Technique

The Rejuvenation Technique changes Biscuit into her youthful form while training Transmutation and slowing aging and growth 29.

  • Reduces her usable strength to ten percent of her full strength under its documented restrictions 29.
  • Requires her to spend half of each year in the rejuvenated state. She controls its timing, but the restriction limits voluntary reversion to her original form 29.
  • Works alongside Miss Cookie to improve its longevity effect; the actual extension of lifespan remains unverified when introduced 29.
  • Contributes to the Nen accumulation later revealed during her fight with Lu Qi 161.

Martial Arts and Secret Techniques

  • Tianshan Plum-Plucking Hands: Biscuit's own striking-type martial Nen ability, inspired by the martial arts material associated with Lu Qi's book. Its category combinations are compared to a more complicated Jajanken rather than a direct reproduction of the fictional technique 62.
  • Tianshan Six Yang Palms: Self-cultivated fist and palm techniques used against Lu Qi 161.
  • Geppo: Provides airborne mobility, including when Huoqila makes the lake's surface unsafe and during her attempts to evade Hundred-Type Guanyin 136 280.
  • Shigan: Uses finger strikes while disguised as a blond boy during her challenge against her parallel self 275.
  • Ventriloquism: Speaks without moving her lips during Pascal's flame assault; the technique comes from Heavenly Arena's Secret Technique Shop 148.

Transmutation: Cold, Ice, and Boiling Nen

Biscuit develops several changes in Nen properties instead of restricting herself to a single combat application 148 161 280.

  • Cold aura: Nen flowing beneath her skin resists high temperatures and prevents moisture loss 148.
  • Airflow defense: Nen-infused fists and palm strikes generate gusts that block Pascal's flames. His Flame Ray exceeds what these gusts alone can deflect 148.
  • Life-Death Talisman: Develops the technique into a Transmutation ability associated with her “Ice Envoy” state 161.
  • Boiling state: Makes her Nen “boil,” changing her breathing rhythm and amplifying bodily speed and explosive power enough to exchange direct strikes with Hundred-Type Guanyin 280 281.
  • Electric Nen weapons: Combines an electrically charged Transmutation property with a whip formed through Emission and Conjuration. She treats this as a combination of trained applications, not a copying ability 276.

Appearance Alteration

Her later disguises combine innate body-shape alteration with Nen molded into a “Painted Skin” over herself 277.

  • Can imitate another person's appearance without genuinely becoming that person 277.
  • Describes the technique as useful in particular situations but of limited direct combat value 277.
  • Uses it to challenge her parallel self anonymously and later plans to travel with that counterpart while both are disguised as blond boys 275 291.

Second Stage — Composite Combat Form

Biscuit's second stage releases stored Nen while retaining her smaller appearance. Unlike the close-combat emphasis of her original body, this form combines several Nen categories into supporting abilities 281.

  • Flight: Moves through the air without Geppo 281.
  • Short-range teleportation: Uses an Emission-based spatial movement ability to evade attacks 281.
  • Magic Wand: Influences her own emotions to affect those of others. Affecting herself is part of its Vow and Restriction; Netero quickly recognizes and adjusts to the interference 282.
  • True Illusion: Creates multiple figures that can be real or illusory according to her usage. She uses them to test an opponent's responses and abilities 282.
  • Teleportation boost: Combines Conjuration and Enhancement to improve spatial perception and reaction speed during an attack, briefly disrupting Netero's defense 282.
  • Resource requirement: Sustaining the many simultaneous applications depends on her accumulated Nen reserves 282.

Mental Resilience

  • Dispels Lu Qi's cold-and-snow illusion through her resilient martial mindset 96.
  • After breaking the illusion, resists his immediate attempt to place her under the same Sharingan-based effect again. This resistance is demonstrated against his particular ability, not established as immunity to every illusion 96.

Divine Script Knowledge

  • Learns a Divine Script pattern that allows her to perceive Lu Qi's otherwise unseen floating monitoring machines 301.
  • Shares that pattern with her counterpart, showing that ordinary Gyo alone does not reveal the machines 301.

Influence on Martial Arts Development

  • Support Nen precedent: By openly sharing Miss Cookie, Biscuit encourages female fighters to develop training-support abilities rather than focusing exclusively on beauty maintenance 116.
  • Massage-based awakening: Practitioners studying her ability develop expensive but safe Nen-awakening massages. They can close a recipient's Aura Nodes again if control is lost 196.
  • Body-altering Transmutation: Her rejuvenation approach becomes mainstream in Keli City, attracting even users of other categories because of its anti-aging potential 206.
  • Research activity: Owns a company, collaborates with female martial artists, and maintains contact with Cheadle for pharmaceutical research involving Nen-affected plants 269.
  • Public standing: Is described as Heavenly Arena's third-strongest fighter and the strongest female fighter at the time of her identity reveal. Her reputation later draws fans who mistake a visiting counterpart for her 274 368.

Equipment / Items / Property

  • Adventurer Mark — Provides spatial storage, from which she retrieves clothing for her counterpart. The storage is a benefit of the mark, not one of her personal spatial combat abilities 276.
  • Divine Script paper slips — Receives two from Lu Qi before entering the parallel world; gives Little Killua one to tear when he wishes to leave 268 274.
  • Artifact-refined clothing — Lu Qi gives her specially crafted clothing after their secret duel and explains that its durability comes from his Nen-tool crafting method 161.
  • 249th-floor residence — A luxurious, expanded living space containing a private gravity training room, martial arts/Nen/Divine Script library, Divine Script Creation storage, gem collection room, and dedicated kitchen and dining area 369 372.
  • Floor Master resources — Her status provides access to training services, secret medicines, Nen Cooking, and other arena benefits. Visiting counterparts may receive usage rights without ownership or her full contractual powers 369.

Relationships

  • Lu Qi — Close friend, training influence, and long-term rival. She follows his progress to catch up to him but resists abandoning her own cultivation path 23 149 268.
  • Isaac Netero — Master in the Heart Source School. She challenges his parallel counterpart and defeats him, while continuing to address him respectfully as her teacher 17 280 284.
  • Wing / Yun Gu — Disciple. She tests the parallel Wing's progress, identifies weaknesses across his training, and treats his students as her grand-disciples 272 273 274.
  • Parallel Biscuits — Initially opponents, then collaborators and trainees. She shares recovery abilities, explains her world's training environment, and helps counterparts improve 276 277 339 380.
  • Kastro — Promising fighter she guides after his defeat by Hisoka. She heals him and recommends using his clone for training, but declines his request to become her disciple because she lacks time 271 272.
  • Little Killua — Fellow traveler from Lu Qi's world. She provides his return slip, exchanges information with him, and contacts Lu Qi to help arrange further world travel 274 382.
  • Gon and the parallel Killuas — Young fighters whose potential interests her. During Greed Island, she and her counterpart cooperate with their team while leaving opportunities for the younger fighters to perform 274 380.
  • Zushi — Wing's disciple and her grand-disciple. She greets him affectionately and explains why Wing's teacher looks so young 272.
  • Cheadle — Hunter Association contact and pharmaceutical research collaborator 269.
  • Julia Conrad — Provides support for Biscuit's medicinal-assisted training at Heavenly Arena 23.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Hunter Exam and Arena Challenges

  • Joins Lu Qi, Elliot, and Annie in planning the Hunter Exam, then serves as the examiner for its third round 110 121.
  • Battles Huoqila in the Basen Rainforest, counters his water control, and returns to her original form to shatter the Water Spirit and capture him. Lu Qi then challenges her to defeat the remaining four Great Spirits 136 137.
  • Faces Pascal on the arena's 200th floor. After flame attacks, a Phoenix transformation, and close combat fail to overcome her defense, Pascal concedes after twenty minutes 148.
  • Fights Lu Qi privately on the arena's top floor. Her new techniques impress him, but she remains unable to overcome the gap in Nen and decides to leave Keli City to explore 161.

Arrival in a Parallel World

  • Travels by elevator to a Heavenly Arena untouched by Lu Qi's reforms. Her massive En release interrupts Hisoka's fight with Kastro, changing the circumstances of Kastro's defeat 269 270.
  • Heals and advises Kastro, finds Wing and Zushi, and reveals that she is from another world rather than the Biscuit they know 271 272 274.
  • Arranges for the local Biscuit to come to the arena without an advance explanation. Disguised as a blond boy, she challenges that counterpart and wins without needing to return to her original body 275 276.
  • Explains that their difference in strength comes from training conditions: money, instruments, medicines, accumulated knowledge, and specialist assistance available in Lu Qi's Heavenly Arena 277.

Challenge Against Netero

  • Evades fifty-four palms of Hundred-Type Guanyin before being struck, then escalates through Boiling Nen and her second-stage composite abilities 280 281 282.
  • Forces Netero to use Zero Hand and survives by reverting to her original muscular form. She wins, but feels uneasy about claiming the victory; Netero accepts his defeat cheerfully 283 284 285.
  • The result draws attention from the wider martial arts community and Hunter Association investigators, including people sent by Pariston 291.

Greed Island and Counterpart Training

  • Remains in the parallel Heavenly Arena to help with reforms and communicates daily with her counterpart. They plan to pursue the Blue Planet gem card together 291.
  • Forms a two-Biscuit team in Greed Island, with training her parallel self as a major purpose of the journey 339.
  • Obtains numerous cards amid the Bomber's disruption and cooperates with Gon's team for A Piece of Coastline, allowing the younger fighters a chance to take the lead 380.
  • Returns to her world with her counterpart and Little Killua, offering access to her gem collection, gravity training, and a Nen Cooking feast 380.
  • Later defeats two parallel Biscuits together in under ten minutes, demonstrating how large the remaining training gap is 382.

Defense of Heavenly Arena

  • Holds an exceptional Tower of Shadows record; Ging is identified as the highest-clearing adventurer apart from her 419.
  • Declines the Dark Continent expedition alongside Netero because they do not want to leave Heavenly Arena unstable or unguarded during Lu Qi's absence 430.
  • In the final chapter, three Biscuits use overwhelming force against factions attempting to exploit Lu Qi's departure. Together with Kurapika, Gon, and Killua's actions, their suppression helps pacify Keli City over two months 462.
