Golden Crocodile Douluo served as Martial Soul Hall's Second Worship and was entrusted with guarding the Worship Hall when Qian Daoliu departed to hunt a hundred-thousand-year soul beast. 11 Though advanced in age, he was considered to be in his prime due to his cultivation. His original Golden Crocodile King martial soul was regarded as the only explicitly recorded super martial soul of the era. 13

Before reaching the Title Douluo realm, he hunted a hundred-thousand-year soul beast alone with only level 90 soul power and eight soul rings—an achievement regarded as exceptionally rare. 44 116 He possessed three soul bones: one hundred-thousand-year bone, one fifty-thousand-year bone, and one thirty-thousand-year bone. Golden Crocodile Douluo recognized Bibi Dong's influence before Bibi Dong officially became Holy Son: six Title Douluos, including three with hundred-thousand-year rings, answered Bibi Dong's request for a soul hunt. Bibi Dong rewarded Golden Crocodile Douluo with the ten-thousand-year Immortal Herb, the Earth Dragon Golden Melon. Its dragon power and pure earth attribute could potentially evolve the Golden Crocodile King martial soul, while also offering hope that his lineage could inherit a stronger martial soul. 115

Golden Crocodile consumed the herb under Bibi Dong's observation and used his accumulated foundation to force a breakthrough. His Golden Crocodile King evolved into the Golden Dragon Crocodile; he reached level 99, perfected the Indestructible Diamond Body, and awakened a domain whose pressure could oppress other Title Douluos. 116 117 He later explained that the evolution did not elevate his martial soul beyond the super-martial-soul category, but perfected its bloodline and quality to the equivalent of Innate Full Soul Power. 118

During an expedition to the Far North, Golden Crocodile's heightened senses detected an unusual canyon abyss, leading the group to rare resources beneath it. 166 He then helped research a hundred-thousand-year soul beast's Soul Core and successfully condensed the first Blood Qi Soul Core of the era. 168

After gaining the Soul Core, he could suppress Qian Daoliu in a sparring match when Qian Daoliu did not use divine power or divine artifacts. 169 He later formed resonant dual Soul Cores, becoming an unprecedented level 99 powerhouse whose defense could withstand even Qian Daoliu's attacks without divine power. 191

Golden Crocodile Douluo is fiercely loyal to Martial Soul Hall and to Qian Daoliu, even while privately believing that Qian Daoliu's generosity toward enemies is a serious flaw. He follows Qian Daoliu precisely because of the latter's character, but favors decisive and practical solutions over leniency. 16

He is ruthless, result-oriented, and unconcerned with conventional scruples when Martial Soul Hall's interests are at stake. Upon learning of Tang Yuehua's potential to improve others' cultivation, he insisted that Martial Soul Hall must secure her or eliminate her rather than leave such a resource to another faction. 114
