Background / History

Shangguan Li was reborn on the Douluo Continent two years before Tang San's birth. Abandoned as an infant because of the conflict between her parents, Ning Fengzhi and Yun Qin, she was raised by her grandfather, Shangguan Lin. After awakening her Martial Soul, she learned the truth of her parentage. 2 13

A System granted her a ten-consecutive draw containing two Martial Souls, a God-tier Spirit Ring, and a Peerless Douluo character card for Yun Ming. Yun Ming thereafter served her with absolute loyalty. 2

After enrolling at Cloud City Academy as a work-study student, Shangguan Li cultivated the Stealth Art to conceal her aura and Spirit Ring colors. She later graduated after six years, having condensed her first Spirit Core and reached level 60. 4 5

Following graduation, she left Stone Village to strengthen herself, promising Shangguan Lin that she would not recklessly endanger her life. In the Star Dou Great Forest, she accepted Electrolux as her teacher, absorbed the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger's Spirit Ring, and made a deal with the Thunderous Hellvine for its Spirit Ring and Spirit Bone. 6

Her potential drew the attention of the God of Destruction and the Goddess of Life, who considered her as a successor. The Sea God also came to regard her as a potential inheritor. 10 17

Shangguan Li completed the Hell Road alone after earning her hundredth victory in the City of Slaughter. She refused the King of Slaughter's offer of the Slaughter God title, received two God-Bestowed Spirit Rings, raised her Destruction-Life Affinity to 20%, and sealed the Hell Road exit to prevent further Slaughter Gods from emerging. 12

Despite her power, she remains deeply attached to Shangguan Lin and returns to Stone Village out of homesickness. She is moved by Yun Ming and Yali's acceptance of her grandfather as their father. 19

She shows compassion toward people and Spirit Beasts in need, helping Dugu Bo with his poison and supporting Dugu Yan's Martial Soul evolution and Spirit Ring absorption. She also empathizes with Little Pear and the Snow Lion cub despite the hostility of the Beastmen. 8 14 43
