Sasuke's Mangekyo
Hearing Naruto's words, Kakashi fell silent for a moment.
He followed Naruto's gaze and quietly looked towards the second floor. A hint of worry, barely concealed, flickered in his lazy, dead-fish eyes.
A moment later, Naruto suddenly patted Kakashi on the back and laughed heartily:
"Don't worry, Brother Kou has already gone up there and is keeping him company."
With Brother Kou around, there's nothing to worry about.
As he spoke, Naruto looked up at the second floor again and added softly:
"Besides, Sasuke isn't that fragile."
He's very strong!
"... That's true."
Kakashi responded softly, gazing intently at the rooftop on the second floor, his worries dissipating considerably.
He silently turned his gaze from the second floor to the blond boy beside him, and unconsciously raised his hand to press his left eye, which wasn't actually his, through his Forehead Protector.
The things Lord Jiraiya and Kokoro told him about Obito when they kept him behind during the meeting had once again come to mind.
"Obito, have you... really sided with Madara?"
He asked himself a bitter question, and the hand covering his Forehead Protector unconsciously tightened its grip:
"Do we really want to stand on opposite sides as enemies...?"
Thinking of this, Kakashi closed his eyes in pain, as if trying to compose himself.
A moment later, he opened his eyes again, his gaze fixed firmly on Naruto.
The confusion and pain from before were gone; only an unwavering determination remained!
"No matter what, I will never let you hurt Naruto again!"
This time, I will protect my cherished companions, even if it means... becoming your enemy.
Kakashi muttered to himself as he lowered his trembling hand from his left eye.
However, just as he had finally composed himself and was about to say something to Naruto, he discovered that Naruto, who had been right beside him, was no longer there.
"Kakashi, what are you standing there for?! Come and help me!!"
Inside the living room, Naruto, holding a gift box, waved vigorously at Kakashi:
"Hurry up and help me choose which items can stay in Konoha for now and which ones I should take with me!"
Otherwise, when Brother Kou and Sasuke come down later, that brat Sasuke will definitely complain that I'm slow again!
Normally it would be fine, but this time Brother Kou is here! I don't want to be laughed at by that bastard Sasuke in front of him!
"... You really don't hold back at all when you're ordering people around."
Kakashi sighed helplessly, then strode towards Naruto.
"I just finished a really important meeting, and I'm completely exhausted."
"Oh dear, don't say that! You're the famous Kakashi Hatake!"
Besides, aren't we here to protect you? What's there to worry about? Cheer up, don't lose points!
"You don't even mention where my troubles came from..."
"Also, don't you know the Flying Thunder God? Why don't you just use Shadow Clone Jutsu to teleport all of these to the Land of Rice? Why do you have to sort and organize them here one by one?"
"Huh? The Flying Thunder God Technique can be used like this? Kakashi, are you really a genius?!"
"I'm talking to you..."
Meanwhile, at Kakashi's house, on the second floor, on the rooftop...
Night had fallen, and the night sky was clear tonight, without clouds or stars, only a lonely moon hanging in the sky, casting a cold light over the entire rooftop.
A handsome young man with black hair was looking up at the full moon.
Sasuke disliked the moon and developed a strong aversion to it from that night onward.
Because whenever he looked up at the full moon, those unpleasant memories would resurface from the depths of his mind.
The image of my father falling, my mother's still-warm hand, that long street, once so familiar, now soaked in blood...
He once thought he would never be able to look at the moon peacefully again.
But at this moment, as Sasuke gazed at the cold moon, the deep hatred that had almost torn him apart was gone from his eyes.
What was churning in his eyes at that moment was a complex mix of emotions that even he himself had not yet been able to fully comprehend.
After a long while, Sasuke slowly turned around, looked at the tall figure behind him who seemed to have been standing there for a long time, and whispered:
"Sorry to keep you waiting, knock."
"No, I just arrived too."
Kou shook his head, looking at the boy's tired face, which clearly showed he hadn't slept for several nights in a row, and said gently.
When his gaze fell upon Sasuke's eyes, those deep purple pupils, which appeared exceptionally dark in the moonlight, narrowed slightly.
Although his eyes appeared somewhat dim due to fatigue, the scarlet patterns within them still radiated an eerie red light.
"Mangekyo... Sharingan?"
Kou said softly, looking at the two familiar patterns in Sasuke's eyes, and slowly sighed:
"It seems you've suffered quite a bit during this time."
Sasuke stiffened for a moment, remaining silent and simply turning his face slightly away.
"Aren't you going to ask him about it?"
"... There's nothing to ask."
Sasuke calmly replied, then raised his eyes again to look at Kou.
The moonlight quietly fell into his newly formed Mangekyo- like eyes, as still as a lake.
"I already knew Itachi's fate the moment I saw him for the last time."
He said in a low voice:
"Now that you've come to my side, it means... he has already paid the price for his actions."
Kou Ji looked at him quietly, without saying a word, only nodding slightly.
After a moment of silence, Sasuke subconsciously gripped the hem of his clothes at his side.
After a long while, he finally managed to speak with difficulty:
"Is Itachi... dead?"
"Ah, dead."
Looking at Sasuke before him, he said softly:
Uchiha Itachi is dead.
"It was me... who killed him."
I went out for dinner with friends today during the last few days before school started, so I'm a little late. Sorry everyone.
I was supposed to finish at 3 AM today, but I simply don't have the time, so I'll have to postpone it for another day.
Getting back to the point, regarding Sasuke Mangekyo, do you all think it's better if it stays the same as in the original story, or if it's better to unlock a completely new ability?
