After bidding farewell to the God of Destruction and the others, Son Goku, Vegeta, and the rest used Instant Transmission to return to Earth.
Vegeta wanted to head back to Bulma's house and continue training. Still, he boldly declared, "Hmph, Ye Ming, just you wait. Once I've finished my training, I'll challenge you again."
Ye Ming looked at the haughty Vegeta and replied, "Sure. I'll be waiting, Vegeta. I said I'd be living on Earth from now on, so you can spar with me anytime!"
Vegeta didn't say another word. He left behind a proud, solitary figure and quickly flew away.
The corners of Ye Ming's mouth lifted slightly. Vegeta really was a haughty Saiyan Prince, exactly like he was in the anime.
Suddenly, a pair of hands clapped Ye Ming on the shoulder. "Ye Ming, your place is right next to mine. We can spar anytime. Let's use the Hyperbolic Time Chamber."
Ye Ming nodded. "All right, but I'm a little tired today. Fighting alongside you all has worn me out."
"Okay, okay. Go get some rest first, Ye Ming. We'll fight another day." Goku scratched his head and said with a smile.
Ye Ming nodded, and they each returned home.
Ye Ming lay down on his bed, but he still couldn't fall asleep. He felt a sense of urgency.
He knew that Beerus would arrive on Earth later and fight the Z Fighters. He didn't know whether the timeline in this universe followed the events of the anime, or whether his arrival would disrupt its natural order.
The system seemed to know what was troubling Ye Ming, so it told him, "When you arrived in this universe, your presence was already sensed by its enforcers."
Ye Ming sat bolt upright. "You mean the Grand Priest?"
"That's right. And perhaps he isn't the only one. Beyond this universe, and even beyond the higher universes, there may be beings far more powerful. You may already have caught their attention."
Hearing this, Ye Ming grew tense.
But the system reassured him. "Host, don't overthink it. You're still too weak. Those powerful beings won't make a move against you."
"On the contrary, Host, you might receive some special attention!"
After hearing the system's words, Ye Ming realized he had been worrying over nothing. With his meager abilities, he could probably only make a name for himself among mortals, and that was about it.
Then he'd set himself a modest goal: first, reach the level of a God of Destruction—or at least the very peak of their power! Ye Ming thought to himself.
At that moment, Ye Ming was filled with a yearning for great power. He asked, "System, do you have any missions for me?"
The system replied, "There are no missions at the moment. But, Host, I told you before that I strengthened your body. Your potential and bloodline far surpass Vegito's in this timeline."
"Perhaps you can increase your own strength through training!"
Ye Ming knew that; he'd only asked the system to make sure. But since the system had said so, he'd have to work hard. He couldn't rely on the system to give him everything!
Ye Ming soon settled on his training goal: only by constantly training and receiving the system's assistance could he gradually become stronger.
He had to grow stronger to face the dangers ahead. He knew that ever since he had arrived in this world, the course of this universe had already begun to diverge from what it had been before.
With that, he closed his eyes and waited for the next day.
Early the next morning, Ye Ming heard a series of knocks at the door. He opened his eyes. He didn't need to think twice; it had to be Son Goku. He could hear him from a mile away.
Ye Ming opened the door and saw Son Goku grinning at him.
"Hey, good morning! I brought you something to eat. Then we can go train," Son Goku said with a cheerful grin.
Seeing this, Ye Ming smiled and nodded in agreement.
Before long, they arrived at the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and began their day's training.
Ye Ming told Goku, "You should work on increasing your base power. Otherwise, even when you turn Super Saiyan, your strength will still be limited."
Son Goku nodded gravely. He knew there was a gap between him and Ye Ming—not just in their base power, but in their bloodlines as well.
And so, the first day of training began. Goku and Ye Ming sparred with each other and learned from the experience. Every day, they either slept or trained.
Three years passed in the blink of an eye, and both Goku's and Ye Ming's strength improved significantly.
Ye Ming, in particular, mastered the Super Saiyan Third Stage Full Power Form, while Son Goku's base power and Super Saiyan transformation became even more refined!
Their strength had risen by several levels, and their relationship grew closer and closer. They could talk about almost anything.
At that point, Ye Ming told Son Goku, "There are some incredibly powerful people in the universe. They're so strong that you'll feel like you have no hope against them!"
Looking at Ye Ming's serious expression, Son Goku knew he came from outer space and was familiar with the state of the universe.
But Ye Ming didn't say much more. He only told him, "We have to keep getting stronger so we can face the dangers ahead. That's the only way to protect Earth."
"Because before long, a terrifying god will appear before us. We have to be on our guard!"
Goku perked up at once. "Who is he?"
Ye Ming paused. "Beerus, the God of Destruction."
"Wow! He's a god? He sounds really strong!" Son Goku said excitedly.
Ye Ming replied, "Yes. He's a God of Destruction, incredibly powerful—in fact, one of the strongest beings in this universe."
"Son Goku, when you meet him, watch what you say and do. Don't think that just because we've gotten a little stronger, we can trade blows with him. We're still weak compared to him," Ye Ming said seriously.
Seeing how serious Ye Ming was, Son Goku knew this was no time for jokes.
"All right, I'll remember. I'll try to rein in my recklessness, but I still want to spar with him."
Ye Ming was about to talk him out of it, but the system's voice rang in his ear the next moment. "Attention, Host. Beerus is about to awaken and may arrive on Earth soon. Please prepare yourself.
"Host, Beerus's visit may follow the original story fairly closely. You must prepare for battle."
"Mission issued: spar with Beerus and obtain the Super Saiyan 4 Full Power Form and the prototype of Ultra Instinct."

Ye Ming put his worries aside. He also wanted to spar with Beerus and find out just how powerful this universe's strongest God of Destruction really was.
After that, Goku and Ye Ming began a new round of training, greatly increasing the intensity.
They both worked tirelessly to prepare for Beerus's arrival. But the future remained shrouded in uncertainty. What lay ahead for Earth?
