Background / History

Teleportation was initially regarded as an exceptionally rare life-saving soul skill. Su Mo had spent a year studying its principles and searching for a soul master capable of using it before Xiao Wu reached Level 20 and chose it as her second soul skill. 19 30

Xiao Wu first demonstrated the skill by instantly shifting five meters away. Su Mo then had her repeat the technique until she exhausted her soul power, allowing him to analyze its operation and create his own Self-Created version. His first successful jump covered three meters and involved no movement trajectory or acceleration. 30 31

Over the following years, Su Mo refined Teleportation alongside Xiao Wu, incorporating it into sword techniques and eventually expanding it into an ultra-long-distance escape method. 42 44

Mechanics

• Teleportation allows the user to vanish from one position and appear directly in another without a visible path of movement or acceleration. 31 50
• Its movement pattern can be highly irregular: Su Mo uses it to appear in front of, behind, above, or below an opponent while attacking with his sword. 83
• Su Mo's Self-Created version does not require a soul ring to activate and has no apparent connection to his Broken Sword martial soul. Sword Douluo therefore concludes that it can be learned by others. 83 84
• The skill is difficult for beginners to control. Early students may travel less than a meter, land inaccurately, or suffer interference from lightning- and fire-attributed soul power. 111
