As Xu Xiao’s power and control of the Spirit Pagoda develop, he gains increasingly refined spatial abilities. Xu Xiao creates jade tokens with his spatial authority as emergency escape tools. These tokens can teleport a user to a distant and unstable destination, though they cannot yet directly connect to the Spirit Pagoda because his spatial authority has not fully integrated with it 316.

Xu Xiao introduces Soul Core cultivation to his companions and explains that up to three cores may theoretically be possible. He later discovers another thread attached to Tang San and follows it to the newborn Qian Renxue in Spirit Hall. Blue Silver Emperor (Zhong Ling)

The Blue Silver Emperor, later known as Zhong Ling, develops a deep and trusting relationship with Xu Xiao. Initially, Xu Xiao and his brothers seek her out as a means to open a path to the soul beast clan, but their interactions quickly transcend mere utility 23. The Blue Silver Emperor decides to trust Xu Xiao and his brothers, betting on her sincerity despite her natural caution toward humans 26. She undergoes transformation with their help, and Xu Xiao respects her autonomy, inviting the Blue Silver King to join but accepting his refusal 28.

Over time, their bond strengthens: she heals Ye Lin’s physical wounds, though she cannot restore his spiritual power 72. When Xu Xiao faces difficulties in awakening his martial soul, the Blue Silver Emperor actively seeks help from the Ice Dragon King, vouching for Xu Xiao’s character and his potential to aid the soul beast clan 73. Later, as she approaches her 200,000-year tribulation, Xu Xiao shares a secret about her dark attribute to help her survive, demonstrating his care for her well-being 157. Zhong Ling’s connection to Xu Xiao becomes increasingly intimate in later years. She accompanies Ye Shengxin as he spreads faith and healing, and warmly embraces Xu Xiao when he visits them 269. Their mutual affection is also apparent during their time on the Sun Moon Continent, where Xu Xiao openly teases her about blushing and acknowledges that he had not spent enough time keeping her company 212. When Zi Ji questions whether Long Su’s closeness troubles her, Zhong Ling confidently answers that Xu Xiao has her in his heart 181.

Before Xu Xiao’s otherworldly travels, Zhong Ling asks whether he will return, and he promises to come back for her and their companions after improving his strength 351. She also learns that he killed the Sky Azure Bull Python while using Tang Hao’s appearance. Although she reproaches him, she accepts that her former bond with Ah Rou’s group has ended because of their connection to the Asura God 352.

Xu Xiao eventually reveals that he comes from outside the Douluo Continent and explains that his arrival changed Zhong Ling’s original fate. He tells her that she would otherwise have died, though her Seed of Life would have allowed a later resurrection, and that his fortune strengthened hers. Chen Xin’s Seven Kill Sword evolves into the Deadly Seven Kill Sword after refining Sword Sever Grass, greatly increasing his combat potential 36. He later secures territory for Chuan Ling in Heaven Dou 136 and remains a reliable figure in Xu Xiao’s organization. Their relationship is one of deep trust and mutual support, with Chen Xin serving as a dependable right hand and martial pillar.

Chen Xin eventually develops a romantic relationship with Ling Yuan. Xu Xiao takes responsibility for arranging their wedding after Chen Xin inadvertently admits his intentions, treating Ling Yuan as his own younger sister and Chen Xin as family 286. Although Gui Mei is absent during their initial wedding, Xu Xiao insists that his return should be awaited for the grander celebration 286.

Chen Jianjun

Xu Xiao’s relationship with Chen Jianjun blends familial closeness with strategic cooperation. Chen Jianjun gains an epiphany from Xu Xiao's letter and advances from level 97 to level 98, thereafter agreeing to fulfill three requests in gratitude 10 11. He provides Xu Xiao and his companions with protection, supports Chen Xin's involvement with the group, and repeatedly acts as a powerful guardian of Xu Xiao's interests 11 46.

They share humorous moments, such as when Xu Xiao mocks Yu Xiaogang's slow cultivation and Chen Jianjun shows interest in Xu Xiao's Spirit Pagoda, suspecting it to be connected to the God Realm 166. When Xu Xiao plans to leave for another continent, he entrusts the Spirit Pagoda to Chen Jianjun, who agrees to watch over it 157. Chen Jianjun later visits Xu Xiao in Slaughter City, brings Bibi Dong, and reveals that he has acquired the Blood Red Nine-Headed Bat King's hundred-thousand-year soul bone 225. After Xu Xiao spends four years on the Sun Moon Continent, the Ice Emperor and Snow Empress accompany him back to the Douluo Continent, with the Ice Emperor deciding to remain by his side rather than returning to the Far North 165. Their trust deepens further when Xu Xiao accompanies Snow Empress to the Ice God's inheritance site and encourages her to receive the Ice God's Nine Trials 233. Their relationship combines alliance, mutual respect, and shared ambitions concerning soul beast revival and godhood.

Snow Empress’s affection for Xu Xiao becomes more explicit as she progresses through the Ice God’s trials. When Xu Xiao later visits her in the Far North, she embraces him and assures him that his arrival is enough, while Xu Xiao promises to continue supporting her completion of the remaining trials 307.

After the Ice Emperor takes human form, Snow Empress entrusts her to Xu Xiao’s protection, and he confidently promises that no one will dare harm her 235. The Ice Emperor later becomes an important source of intelligence: after the Star Luo takeover, she reveals that the Dark Hall has compiled six books recording Tang San’s activities since his self-castration, prompting Xu Xiao to reward the record-keepers with additional resources 392.

Zi Ji

Zi Ji becomes one of Xu Xiao's most important soul beast allies and confidants. She assists his schemes against the Clear Sky Sect and Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, including his search for unsuitable partners for their heirs 114. As Chuan Ling begins emerging publicly, Xu Xiao trusts Zi Ji to act as one of its visible representatives and relies on her strength while keeping his own position hidden 136.

Their bond is reinforced by combat and cultivation. Zi Ji condenses a Soul Core after following Xu Xiao's knowledge, validating his understanding of advanced cultivation methods 124. She tests Xu Xiao's Ring Detonation in the Spirit Ascension Platform and comes to recognize that his potential will shape the continent's future 125. Together with Bi Ji, she consults with Xu Xiao and Death God regarding the mental-power trials, retaining a playful familiarity with both Xu Xiao and the divine consciousness 252.

After Xu Xiao conquers Star Luo, he asks Zi Ji to arrange assistance from experienced administrators on the Sun Moon Continent, continuing to rely on her for practical coordination across his territories 392.

Ah Rou

Xu Xiao’s interaction with Ah Rou, a powerful soul beast and friend of the Blue Silver Emperor, is notably tense and hostile. When Zhong Ling guides him to meet Ah Rou, Xu Xiao displays clear disdain toward her and rabbit-type soul beasts, preferring to regard them as possible spirit rings rather than engage in dialogue 88. Ah Rou pursues him because she fears Zhong Ling has been kidnapped, but accepts Zhong Ling’s reassurance that she is accompanying him willingly. Xu Xiao leaves without pursuing a relationship 88. His hostility is specific to Ah Rou and her kin rather than an inability to cooperate with soul beasts generally; he develops strong alliances with Zi Ji, Xiong Jun, the Ice Emperor, and Snow Empress 89 105 150.

Xu Xiao later observes Ah Rou’s group from concealment and discovers the Asura God’s thread attached to Xiao Wu. He and Gu Yuena discuss taking revenge on the group, including darkly humorous suggestions about roasting the soul beasts, while avoiding an immediate action that might attract divine attention 333.

His antagonism also includes deliberate deception. He admits to Zhong Ling that he killed the Sky Azure Bull Python while using Tang Hao’s appearance, contributing to the group’s hostility toward Tang Hao and Tang San. The passage confirms the impersonation in the python’s killing but does not separately establish Xu Xiao’s responsibility for every injury attributed to Tang Hao 352. Xiong Jun

Xu Xiao's relationship with Xiong Jun begins with a test of strength but develops into mutual respect and instruction. Aware of Xiong Jun's hostility toward humans, Xu Xiao nevertheless offers a single full-power punch at level 59 for Xiong Jun's judgment 150. His combination of Ring Detonation, Dragon Transformation, Silver-Grade Awakening, and soul bones produces an attack assessed as equal to an ordinary level 95 Title Douluo's full-force strike 150.

Impressed, Xiong Jun recognizes Xu Xiao's potential and agrees to teach him Sky-Tearing Claw 150. Silver Dragon King and Di Tian

Xu Xiao earns the support of Di Tian through his potential and his growing ability to offer soul beasts a future beyond persecution 89 200. Di Tian supports Xu Xiao's plans concerning faith and the possibility of soul beasts ascending through human belief 200. Xu Xiao also considers Di Tian one of the few beings capable of condensing multiple Soul Cores due to his immense body and strength 124.

The Silver Dragon King provides Xu Xiao with essential guidance concerning the difference between divine power, divine skills, and extraordinarily powerful soul skills. She confirms that Xu Xiao's ten-million-year eighth soul skill can rival a God Official's strike but is not itself a divine skill 200. They agree to search for the Universe Asking Love Valley, which may contain the divine power Xu Xiao needs to unlock the Spirit Pagoda's highest secret 200 211.

Under the name Gu Yuena, the Silver Dragon King later helps Xu Xiao analyze the Spirit Pagoda’s pseudo-divine power and offers to remain in the pagoda while recovering and studying its self-forming rules 208. She originally introduces herself as Gu Yue, and accepts Xu Xiao’s suggestion to use the name Gu Yuena 207. She subsequently joins Xu Xiao in breaking the seal at Universe Asking Love Valley, enabling him to absorb it into the Spirit Pagoda 274. Bibi Dong

Their relationship develops as a master-disciple bond, with Bibi Dong viewing Xu Xiao as both an extraordinary teacher and a family figure.

As Bibi Dong grows, she becomes increasingly bold and occasionally insubordinate, though Xu Xiao still maintains authority over her 315. Xu Xiao allows Long Su to extract Yu Xiaogang’s Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon bloodline for refinement into Bibi Dong’s martial soul, further investing in her potential while using Yu Xiaogang as a resource 224. Despite his criticism of her unruly behavior, Xu Xiao remains protective and continues to regard her as a key future pillar of Chuan Ling 306 315.

Bibi Dong is his first disciple, accepted by coincidence rather than as part of his original recruitment plans. He instructs her to bring her parents into Chuan Ling, continue her schooling, and wait for him to provide her first soul ring 198. He later bestows that purple first ring himself and requires her to keep Soul Bestowal’s details secret 205.

Her responsibilities eventually expand to managing Chuan Ling. She admires Xu Xiao’s decisive seizure of the entire Star Luo Empire after her group had intended to claim only a few cities 392. Long Su is the transformed Auspicious Beast who becomes one of Xu Xiao’s closest companions. After emerging in Dragon Valley, she requests that Xu Xiao give her a name; he names her Long Su and uses Soul Bestowal to grant her five soul rings, raising her soul power to level 79 179. The Ice Dragon King directs her to remain by Xu Xiao’s side, and Xu Xiao’s siblings accept her into their group 179.

Long Su later participates in extracting Yu Xiaogang’s bloodline for Bibi Dong and unleashes her Four Skills as One—Dragon God’s Domain against the Evil Love God 224 271.

Her attachment also includes jealousy when Xu Xiao considers including Snow Empress and Zhong Ling in an outing. Xu Xiao responds by taking her hand and leaving for the city with her, while Zhong Ling remains confident in his affection 181.

Death God

Death God is a fragment of divine consciousness that Xu Xiao encounters while restructuring the Spirit Pagoda. Xu Xiao requests Death God’s aid in designing mental-power trials for the pagoda, and Death God agrees to help create four stages using black wind, illusions, and the Asura Divine Sword 252.

Their relationship resembles that of pragmatic mentor and student. Evil Emperor

Ye Shengxin and Ye Lin
