Background / History

Fang Le transmigrated from Earth into the body of an infant abandoned in the wilderness. Village Chief Old Jack found and raised him in Spirit Soul Village, where Fang Le became known as Xiao Le. Before his awakening, he trained by running the mountain daily in hopes of improving his chances of gaining soul power. 1

At his awakening, Fang Le manifested two Martial Souls: the incomplete HIM/Steve Body Martial Soul and the Warden, an external Beast Martial Soul. His measured innate soul power was only half a level, causing Su Haitao to dismiss his potential. Fang Le nevertheless resolved to leave the village and pursue the path of a Soul Master. 2

In Nuoding City, Fang Le met blacksmith Shi You while attempting to purchase a sword. He demonstrated abnormal strength by lifting Shi You's 600-jin anvil one-handed, then accepted Shi You's warning that displaying such talent could make him a target for exploitation. 3 4

Fang Le later served as the first test subject for Shi You's Blood-Forged Spirit Gold research. After forty-nine days of continuously providing blood and soul power, he and Shi You created Star-Patterned Sinking Gold, a metal attuned to Fang Le's bloodline and soul that could be summoned like a Martial Soul. Shi You forged it into the sword Twin Star. 5 6 7

After reaching level 10 and absorbing his first soul ring, Fang Le encountered Di Tian, Scarlet King, and the Three-Eyed Golden Lion. The lion's fate-guided connection with him brought him into contact with HIM's God Trials and made him an ally of the Star Dou Forest soul beasts. 8 9 10 11

Fang Le completed the first two trials with Di Tian's group: he unlocked Destroyer through barehanded destruction, then unlocked Crafter after defeating a Soul King-level Mutated Zombie through improvised Minecraft-style combat. Di Tian subsequently chose to accompany him into the human world as a protector. 11 12 15 16 17

After wandering for two months, Fang Le reached the Heaven Spirit Empire and reunited with Jiang Nannan. His conflicts with Mi Hu and Mi Long led to Mother Jiang being injured. Fang Le took responsibility for the consequences of leaving Mi Hu alive and sought materials to craft milk and Golden Apples to treat her. 18 20 21 25

When Shrek Academy students mistook Fang Le and Di Tian for Evil Soul Masters after Old Green killed the Mi brothers, Fang Le attempted to explain before accepting their challenge. During the ensuing battle, he tested his domains against the Shrek team and began examining the limitations of his own fighting ability. 26 29 33 34 35 37

Fang Le is a small boy of approximately six years old with a lean frame, refined features, and lingering baby fat. His early clothing is clean but faded and patched, reflecting his upbringing in Spirit Soul Village. 3 31

Personality

Fang Le is cautious by instinct and prefers stable, low-risk development. Shi You's warning about talented children being captured by powerful families makes him more aware that displaying power carelessly can endanger his freedom. He favors preparation, weapons, armor, ranged options, and any advantage that improves his odds of survival. 4

He is also playful, theatrical, and prone to jokes drawn from his former life. His confidence can become reckless, particularly when he believes a challenge resembles a game, but he adapts quickly after failure—most notably when he changes tactics against the Mutated Zombie. 15 16 31

Despite living in a world governed by strength, Fang Le struggles against becoming desensitized to violence. After the deaths of the Mi brothers, he resolves to remain human, respect life, help those suffering when he can, and avoid needless killing or pursuing power by any means. Di Tian recognizes this as a breakthrough in Fang Le's state of mind. 21 22
