Background / History

Yao Guang Sacred Land is one of the foremost powers of the Eastern Wasteland. Unlike the Ji and Jiang Families, which do not accept outsiders, and Yaochi Sacred Land, which generally accepts only women, it offers external cultivators a path to advancement. This accessibility made it Fang Yang's chosen destination after beginning at Spirit Ruins Grotto-Heaven. 7

Spirit Ruins Grotto-Heaven maintains the Lesser Brightness Scripture as an inheritance compatible with Yao Guang's core methods. Disciples who cultivate it can transition into the Sacred Land's orthodox lineage. 8

The Sacred Land's internal politics were long divided between the Holy Lord Lineage and the hidden Ruthless Lineage. Though few in number, the Ruthless Lineage had produced roughly thirty percent of Yao Guang Holy Sons and threatened to seize the Holy Lord position. 15

After Fang Yang became Holy Lord, the Holy Lord Lineage launched a coordinated purge against the Ruthless Lineage across multiple regions.
