Ancient Emperor Scriptures remain valuable references at this stage, but cannot serve as the foundation of a Quasi-Emperor's path except for practitioners such as Emperor Sons who possess the corresponding imperial bloodline. 455
Tribulation
A breakthrough to Quasi-Emperor is accompanied by a heavenly tribulation severe enough to manifest ancient emperors as humanoid lightning. During his ascent, Fang Yang faced projections including the Human Emperor of Taiyin, the Undying Emperor, the Ruthless Empress, Great Emperor Hengyu, and the Supreme Emperor. 413 414
Independent Attainments
A cultivator's physical body, Primordial Spirit, and weapon may approach the Quasi-Emperor level independently, but this does not necessarily mean their cultivation has reached the realm.
- Physical body — Fang Yang's body entered the Quasi-Emperor domain while he was still an early-stage Great Saint, granting him overwhelming physical strength but not the full order laws and divine abilities of a true Quasi-Emperor. 390
- Primordial Spirit — Primordial Spirit quality is closely tied to cultivation realm. Even a Primordial Spirit with Quasi-Emperor-scale magnitude may lack genuine imperial qualities. 389
- Weapons — A Great Saint Weapon can be refined into a Quasi-Emperor Weapon, though this ordinarily requires its wielder's Quasi-Emperor Dao. Fang Yang bypassed this limitation through the Great Treasure Refining Art. 403
Power and Limitations
Quasi-Emperors are regarded as beings capable of dominating the contemporary universe. A faction founded by one can immediately become a hegemonic power able to contend with Extreme Dao inheritances for thousands of years. 422 425
However, the realm contains immense internal disparities.
- A sixth-level Quasi-Emperor is vastly stronger than an ordinary newly advanced practitioner; Fang Yang at this level could confront the Emperor Lord, an ordinary ninth-level Quasi-Emperor. 433 434
- Ninth-level Quasi-Emperors may still be unable to readily enter the God Prohibition Domain and therefore fall short of truly standing on the verge of attaining the Dao. 434
- Before forbidden-zone Supremes, ordinary Quasi-Emperors are described as little more than “slightly larger” ants. 416
- Only Great Accomplishment Sacred Bodies and Tyrant Bodies are stated to have directly contended with a forbidden-zone Supremacy while at the ninth level of the Quasi-Emperor realm. 433
