An Extreme Emperor Weapon is fundamentally distinct from Saint Weapons and Quasi-Emperor Weapons: it embodies imperial Dao laws and carries the Dao fruit of the sovereign who forged it. Its aura is recognizably beyond the level of a Quasi-Emperor Weapon. 268

Traditionally, only a Great Emperor can complete an Extreme Emperor Weapon. Sages may refine a weapon’s foundation and inscribe Dao patterns upon it, but cannot replace the final imperial forging. 105 Fang Yang’s refinement of the Dao Tribulation Gold Cauldron before attaining the Dao is therefore regarded as an unprecedented exception, achieved through his profound lightning Dao, the Thunder Emperor Precious Technique, heavenly tribulation, and the assistance of the Immortal Bell and Desolate Tower projections. 444 445

The weapon’s material must be sufficient to bear a Great Emperor’s Dao fruit. The Nine Great Immortal Golds and the Mysterious Yellow Source Root are identified as suitable materials; inadequate material can leave an otherwise supreme weapon permanently capped at the Quasi-Emperor level. 24 113 Fang Yang later identifies the Source Root of Mother Qi of All Things, Feathered Green Gold, Immortal Tear Green Gold, and God Mark Purple Gold as materials capable of forming Extreme Emperor Weapons. 437
