Background / History

Xiao Wu was living at Shrek Academy alongside Tang San when Lion Douluo identified her as a hundred-thousand-year soul beast in human form. The discovery left her unable to flee or resist before a Title Douluo; Lion Douluo seized her as prospective prey for a spirit ring and spirit bone. 12 13

Tang San defied Lion Douluo to protect her, declaring that she was his sister regardless of her species. Tang Hao's arrival forced Lion Douluo to withdraw, though Xiao Wu remained frightened by his promise to return for her. 13 14 She subsequently chose to remain with Tang San at Shrek, firmly stating that she would stay wherever he was. 15

Ji Ye later learned her identity and exploited it. Using his Void and Time martial souls, he entered her dormitory, confronted her privately, and threatened to expose her to Shrek Academy unless she obeyed him. Xiao Wu agreed out of fear that exposure would endanger both herself and her friends. 21 22

During the group’s journey in the Star Dou Forest, Erming—the Titan Giant Ape—took Xiao Wu away. Ji Ye pursued them, fought Erming, and inflicted disabling injuries on its joints. To spare Erming, Xiao Wu agreed to go with Ji Ye, who then brought her to Martial Soul City and placed her under the Worship Hall’s protection. 31 32 33 34

Xiao Wu appears as a young girl in a pink dress with light brown hair, large eyes, and a long scorpion braid. Her hidden rabbit ears are particularly sensitive. 12 13 21

Personality

Xiao Wu is deeply attached to Tang San and repeatedly prioritizes his safety over her own. She accepts him as family even after he learns that she is a soul beast, and she remains at his side despite the danger of being hunted. 13 15

Her encounters with Title Douluo and Ji Ye expose her vulnerability. She is initially defiant toward Ji Ye, but fear of exposure compels her compliance. Her decisions are nevertheless marked by self-sacrifice: she submits to Ji Ye’s demands to protect Tang San and the Shrek group, then relinquishes her freedom to save Erming from further injury. 21 22 32

Relationships

• Tang San — Her sworn brother and closest companion. He defends her against Lion Douluo after learning her true identity, while Xiao Wu remains with him despite the danger surrounding them. 13 15

Lion Douluo detects Xiao Wu’s true nature while confronting Flender. Paralyzed by fear, she is nearly taken until Tang San intervenes and Tang Hao drives Lion Douluo away. 12 13 14

Ji Ye’s Blackmail

Ji Ye reveals that he knows Xiao Wu is a hundred-thousand-year soul beast. He forces her to call him “Master” and to stand beside him before Tang San, using the threat of exposure to ensure her obedience. 21 22

Star Dou Forest and Erming

Erming removes Xiao Wu from the Shrek group during the team’s journey through the Star Dou Forest. Ji Ye catches up, defeats Erming through spatial attacks against its joints, and gains Xiao Wu’s surrender when she offers to go with him to protect Erming. 31 32

Transfer to Martial Soul City

Ji Ye leads Xiao Wu to Martial Soul City and into the Worship Hall. Though terrified of the Title Douluo present, she is spared after Ji Ye states that she remains useful to him and must not be harmed. 33 34
