When Heaven's Will is Angered, the Great Trend Shifts

It is said: When Heaven unleashes its killing intent, the stars shift and the constellations change; when Earth unleashes its killing intent, dragons and snakes rise from the land; when Humanity unleashes its killing intent, the heavens and earth are turned upside down.

The Heavenly Dao is the entity that truly governs the entire timeline, causality, and fate of the Primordial World, holding sway over all fixed numbers within it.

In truth, the Heavenly Dao is not a living being in the conventional sense; otherwise, the Primordial Heavenly Dao would undoubtedly be a powerhouse of the Chaos Realm. Given the exceptionally high level of the Primordial World, the Primordial Heavenly Dao would rank among the most formidable of those Chaos Realm powerhouses.

Therefore, at this very moment, as the thought occurred to Zhu Jiuyin to have Houtu replace Nuwa in creating humanity, a tributary leading to an unknown future appeared in both the River of Time and the River of Fate.

At this instant, the Heavenly Dao exploded!

While a tributary does not necessarily replace the main stream—and it is quite common for a tributary to dry up if the upstream flow ceases for too long—the reverse is also true. Once a tributary establishes its own momentum, why could it not replace the main stream?

Or rather, if the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers can change their courses, is it not possible for the River of Time and the River of Fate to experience variables and consequently change their paths?

Thus, when the Heavenly Dao sensed the changes in the River of Time and the River of Fate, and briefly deduced the cause and the potential consequences, it would have been a miracle if it hadn't exploded!

If Houtu replaced Nuwa to become a Sage, the grand trend of the Heavenly Dao would collapse entirely.

If Nuwa did not create humanity, by what right could she utilize Heavenly Dao Merit to achieve the status of a Heavenly Dao Sage?

If Nuwa did not become a Sage, could Laozi's Human Sect even come into existence?

If Laozi's Human Sect could not appear, then under the suppression and traction of destiny, Yuanshi and Tongtian's Chan Sect and Jie Sect would have no hope of emerging in the short term.

Most importantly, once Nuwa failed to create humanity and Laozi failed to establish the Human Sect, the Heavenly Dao's layout to interfere with—or even control—Humanity Dao would completely fall apart.

In the most extreme scenario, if Houtu were to create the Human Race not within the Primordial World, but within the Ancestral Land of the Witch Race or a Great Thousand World opened up by the Witches, then everything would be utterly ruined.

Under normal circumstances, after a Sage opens up a Great Thousand World, it must be anchored to the main world.

This is because a Sage is only able to attain their status as a result of the Heavenly Dao's permission.

For an immeasurable world like the Primordial World, every additional Great Thousand World that supports it increases the power of the Heavenly Dao by a fraction.

Therefore, theoretically, the more Great Thousand Worlds there are, the greater the enhancement to the main world. The Primordial Heavenly Dao might not care about other matters, but it absolutely supports Sages or Hunyuan-level powerhouses opening up Great Thousand Worlds and anchoring them to the Primordial World.

The means by which the Heavenly Dao provides support are, naturally, the bestowing of merit and the increase of destiny.

In fact, it was not just the Heavenly Dao; the reason the Great Dao appeared before the Witch Race and bestowed Great Dao Merit upon the Ancestral Witches was precisely because the Ancestral Witches had condensed the True Form of Pangu and opened up a Great Thousand World.

Of course, opening up a world is never a simple matter; even a master at the Sage level faces various difficulties and limitations when attempting to do so, but that is a topic for another time.

Returning to Zhu Jiuyin.

The Ancestral Witches had indeed opened up a Great Thousand World, but then what?

One can easily understand that with Zhu Jiuyin knowing full well that the Heavenly Dao and Hongjun were targeting, plotting against, and even seeking to annihilate the Ancestral Witches and the Witch Race, he would have to be out of his mind to let the world he opened be anchored to the Primordial World.

However, this created a very serious problem: the Heavenly Dao had absolutely no control over this Great Thousand World opened by the Witches.

Because of the existence of Pangu Hall, the will of the Heavenly Dao could not even perceive anything that occurred within it.

The only reason the Heavenly Dao was able to sense the changes in the River of Time and the River of Fate this time was that Zhu Jiuyin's idea was truly heaven-defying.

The Heavenly Dao could not control it, nor could it even perceive it.

And once Houtu created the Human Race, it wouldn't just be the second and third joining forces; they would effectively become one and the same.

The Heavenly Dao has no emotions, but it does have instincts.

It has the instinct to suppress any force or individual that seeks to transcend it.

Therefore, in the next second, the Heavenly Dao suddenly appeared outside the Ancestral Land of the Witch Race.

The central pupil was not formed of flesh and blood, but was a mass of the clearest primordial light, within which three thousand laws floated, and timelines and causal lines intertwined, illuminating the past, present, future, and the causality and fate of all immeasurable Primordial beings.

"This, this is the Eye of the Heavenly Dao! This is the embodiment of the Dao, the manifestation of the laws!"

"Heavens, what is happening? How could the Eye of the Heavenly Dao appear at Mount Buzhou?"

"Do you even need to ask? In all of Mount Buzhou, who besides those Ancestral Witches could possibly alarm the Heavenly Dao?"
