Background / History

The Primordial World was created by Pangu. Pangu suppressed its River of Time and the Three Thousand Laws, while the Primordial Star Domain is described as the manifestation of Pangu’s brain 101 104 188.

Its internal space is difficult to divide into independent worlds. Dijiang can create only a barely viable Middle Thousand World through the Law of Space; without other laws, such a space is a dead land unable to sustain living beings or spiritual items 17.

During the Witch Race’s expansion, Zhu Jiuyin wielded the True Form of Pangu and struck Mount Buzhou with the Pangu Axe. The blow shattered the world’s barrier, allowing chaotic currents from the Chaos World to enter until Zhu Jiuyin halted them with Space and Time Laws and Pangu Hall stabilized the resulting Great Thousand World 24.

The world later faced a looming environmental crisis: if the spread of dead zones continued, more than thirty percent of its land would lose spiritual energy and spiritual veins, while beings below the Golden Immortal realm would eventually perish 19.

Zhu Jiuyin’s reforms ushered in a Golden Age. The Nine-Turn Primordial Profound Art of Creation encouraged merit accumulation and purification of turbid qi, while the Law Enforcement Hall curbed Demon Race activity 107 119. His long-term vision was a world housing 360 Hunyuan- and Sage-realm experts, potentially making it a top-tier Immeasurable World 107.

Geography and Structure

• Primordial Continent — Its innate spiritual energy is contrasted with the more violent, chaotic, and assimilative energy of the Primordial Star Domain 192.
• Mount Buzhou — A major landmark whose barrier was shattered by the Pangu Axe; the Human Race’s ancestral land is established on its eastern side 24 122.
• Primordial Star Domain — A vast region formed from Pangu’s brain. After thirty thousand years of searching, Zhu Jiuyin had explored less than ten percent of it 188.
• Underworld — Formed from a severed portion of the Blood Sea and later elevated into a supreme-grade Great Thousand World 136 143.
• Six Paths of Reincarnation — The world’s reincarnation system: Heavenly Dao, Asura Dao, Humanity Dao, Animal Dao, Hungry Ghost Dao, and Hell Path 137.
• Eighteen Levels of Hell — Punitive realms for souls burdened with monstrous Karmic Force; each corresponds to a Great Thousand World 137.

Natural Laws and Cultivation Environment

• The Heavenly Dao oversees the world and has historically targeted Innate Demon Gods, apparently to increase its control over the Three Thousand Laws 104.
• The Earthly Dao awakens following the establishment of the Six Paths; it binds all beings below the Quasi-Sage realm to reincarnation 137.
• The world’s growing origin and foundation make breakthrough into the Hunyuan Realm easier than in older myths, though it remains a formidable barrier 206.
• Golden Immortals can live as long as heaven and earth; enslavement by sufficiently powerful cultivators can therefore condemn souls to effectively permanent captivity 160.

• Heavenly Court — Proposed by Hongjun to oversee all major and minor affairs of the Primordial World 176.
• Great Emperor of the North Pole Ziwei — Zhu Jiuyin’s office, granting authority over the Primordial Star Domain, the Netherworld, and oversight of all beings’ merits and demerits 178.
