Background / History

Tang San initially appears through the cross-era chat group, where he is confused by Huo Yuhao’s references to his future reputation. Yu Xiaogang contacts him through the group and proposes that the Light Screen has connected different Douluo eras. 2

At Shrek Academy, Tang San is Yu Xiaogang’s disciple. When the Light Screen accuses Yu Xiaogang of plagiarism, Tang San publicly defends his teacher, citing Yu Xiaogang’s training methods and knowledge of spirit-ring absorption limits as proof of original research. 5 6

The Light Screen later reveals that Tang San is destined to oppose Bibi Dong, defeat her, and destroy the Spirit Empire. Bibi Dong consequently identifies him as a future enemy and begins investigating him. 7 8

Tang San learns that Xiao Wu is a 100,000-year-old Soft Bone Rabbit Soul Beast in human form. Though shocked, he remains with her, accepts her regardless of species, and travels with Xiao Wu and Tang Hao toward the Star Dou Forest. 43 44

Tang Hao subsequently reveals that Tang San’s mother, Ah Yin, was a 100,000-year Blue Silver Emperor Soul Beast who sacrificed herself to save Tang Hao and Tang San from Spirit Hall. Tang San vows to destroy Martial Soul Hall and find a way to revive her. 53

Future revelations establish that Tang San marries Xiao Wu, becomes both the Sea God and the Asura God, and has a daughter, Tang Wutong. 31 33 67

Personality

Tang San is intensely loyal to those he considers close. He defends Yu Xiaogang despite the Light Screen’s accusations, repeatedly reassures Xiao Wu after her identity is exposed, and promises to protect her even if the entire world turns against her. 6 42 44

He is protective but emotionally affected by revelations about his future. Tang San struggles with Xiao Wu’s identity and later reacts with guilt after seeing predictions of her sacrifice, insisting that he would never willingly let her die before him. 43 51
