Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Half of the Tiger Talisman recovered | 16 | Shendu extracts Dai Xieyue's half of the Tiger Talisman and embeds it in his White Tiger slot. The incomplete artifact does not trigger a divine-trial reward. 16 |
| Tiger Talisman completed | 20–21 | Dai Xieyue returns the second half, allowing Shendu to complete the Tiger Talisman. Shendu receives a 100,000-year God-Bestowed Spirit Ring, 5% affinity with the World God, and Han Zhongli's Fan. 20 21 |
| Sheep Talisman embedded | 22 | Dai Xieyue steals the Sheep Talisman from Qian Renxue and returns it to Shendu, who receives divine power, World God affinity, and the Castanets of Cao Guojiu. 22 |
| Snake Talisman embedded | 44 | Dai Xieyue retrieves the Snake Talisman near Tianshui City. Its recovery rewards Shendu with a 300,000-year soul ring, 5% World God affinity, and a demon-sealing token. 44 |
| Ox Talisman recovered | 109 | Shendu states that the Ox Talisman is among the Talismans he has recovered. Alongside the Sheep, Snake, and Dragon Talismans, it occupies one of the four visible grooves on his statue; the Tiger Talisman had been released separately with the Book of Antiquity: Talisman Chapter. 109 |
| Dragon Talisman embedded | 109 | After Shendu takes the Dragon Talisman from Ning Fengzhi, it is embedded in the statue and triggers another divine-trial reward: Iron Crutch Li's Gourd, the divine token associated with Ba Sha. 106 107 109 |
| Horse Talisman returned | 167 | Feng Xiaotian gives the Horse Talisman to Xiao Feng, who subsequently returns it to Shendu; its return substantially increases Shendu's power. 165 167 |
| Pig Talisman reconstituted | 202 | Dai Xieyue discovers that the Pig Talisman's power had merged with Yu Xiaogang's mutated martial soul and forcibly extracts it into a newly condensed Talisman vessel. 111 112 202 |
| Monkey Talisman recovered | 206 | Dai Xieyue exposes Coiling Dragon as a black snake using the Monkey Talisman as a disguise, then retrieves the artifact from it. 206 |
| Chicken and Dog Talismans recovered | 209–210 | Dai Xieyue seizes the Chicken Talisman from Bishop Dulong and the Dog Talisman hidden by Huyan Zhen, then returns the Talismans he collected to Shendu. 209 210 |
| Eleven-Talismans milestone | 210 | Dai Xieyue's delivery of the Talismans to Shendu marks the eleven-talismans milestone, after which Shendu removes Dai Xieyue's Flame Demon Aura and dispatches him to pursue the God of Destruction's inheritance. 210 |
| Rat Talisman entrusted to Dai Xieyue | 227 | Shendu entrusts the Rat Talisman, together with the Dragon God memories, to Dai Xieyue because he considers him comparatively reliable among his subordinates. 227 |
Background
The twelve Talismans are Shendu's lost abilities, each engraved with a zodiac animal and collectively capable of restoring his strength. Their recovery is also the first trial of Shendu's World God divine position. 6
The Talismans are scattered throughout the world rather than solely across the Douluo Continent, making their search difficult even with Spirit Hall's resources. Shendu later regains the Sacred Dragon Carving, an artifact able to track their locations. 6 8 15
The first recovered Talisman, the Tiger Talisman, was initially split in half. Its fragments divided Dai Mubai into the righteous Dai Shengyang and the wicked Dai Xieyue; once Dai Xieyue returned the second half, Shendu completed the Talisman and received his first divine-trial rewards. 13 16 20 21
After the Tiger Talisman's trial was completed, Shendu deliberately sent it out with the Book of Antiquity: Talisman Chapter to spread knowledge of Talismans and attract further interest in them. Tang San found the book and was split into good and evil counterparts upon removing the Tiger Talisman. 42 43
Talismans are vessels rather than the permanent source of their abilities. Each of the twelve powers can exist in only one vessel at a time, but its vessel may change: Talisman power can reside within an artifact, animal, martial soul, or person. Destroying a vessel does not destroy its power; instead, the power transfers elsewhere, ordinarily to a corresponding animal. 98 111 112 202
The Talismans have also become objects of continent-wide competition. Daolon Wong publicly claimed that his magic could extract their powers without damaging them, but this was a deliberate deception intended to draw the Talismans out; the extraction magic merely changes the vessel containing a given power. 95 98 101

Abilities & Skills
Tiger Talisman — Yin–Yang Separation
The Tiger Talisman regulates Yin and Yang. When divided, it can separate a person's opposing aspects into distinct individuals. 16
- Split Dai Mubai into Dai Shengyang and Dai Xieyue, embodying upright and wicked personalities respectively. 13
- Split Tang San into True Tang San and Evil Tang San. 42 43
- Requires both halves to be restored before Shendu can fully claim it and receive its divine-trial reward. 16 20
- The evil half created through Tang San's division is composed of power identified by the Evil God King as his own. Shendu concludes that the Tiger Talisman may have once divided a single God King into the Evil God King and the God of Kindness. 121 122
Sheep Talisman — Soul Separation
The Sheep Talisman can force a person's soul out of their body. 14 22
- Forced Qian Renxue's soul out of her body when activated during Dai Xieyue's theft. 22
- The displaced soul can return to its original body if it remains available. 14
- Qian Renxue avoided being left bodiless by seizing control of Dai Xieyue's body after her own soul was expelled. 22
Snake Talisman — Invisibility
The Snake Talisman grants invisibility. 44 49
- Invisibility does not make its bearer intangible. 44
- High spiritual power can still detect an invisible user. 44
Dragon Talisman — Explosive Dragon Flame
The Dragon Talisman releases destructive dragon flames and is described as allowing its user to command fire. 6 29
- Ning Rongrong used it to blast apart a rockery, leaving a molten path several meters wide and tens of meters long. 29
- Its Explosive Dragon Flame destroyed the stone figure in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect's conference hall. 30
- Its output was considered comparable to that of a Soul Saint. 29
- Ning Fengzhi believed its Dragon Blast could destroy even Sword Douluo's Divine Demon Double Slash. 87
Ox Talisman — Immense Strength
The Ox Talisman grants immense, described as infinite, physical strength. 6 49
- Shendu states that it can lift a mountain with ease. 6
- Tang San demonstrated it by punching a spiderweb-shaped crater into the ground. 49
- Its demonstrated force was compared to a Soul King's ten-thousand-year soul skill. 49
- A Spirit Grandmaster using the Talisman was reported to have sent Poison Douluo flying with one punch, though Emperor Xue Ye questioned whether it also strengthened its wielder's body enough to endure that force. 50
Rabbit Talisman — Speed Force
The Rabbit Talisman grants the Speed Force, allowing its user to move at extraordinary speed. 56
- Zhu Zhuyun used it to evade Dai Xieyue's attacks and defeat both him and his Shadow Ninjas despite their vast difference in cultivation. 56
- Its speed was sufficient that even the rank 94 Titled Douluo Dai Yutian could not catch Zhu Zhuyun. 61
- Under extreme fear and desperation, it can transport its bearer across worlds; Zhu Zhuyun was sent to another world to evade Bibi Dong, and Hu Liena later used it to travel to the Ancient World. 82 190
Horse Talisman — Restoration
The Horse Talisman heals injuries and illnesses and can perfectly restore broken objects. 56
- Feng Xiaotian's shattered bones, chest wound, and internal injuries were restored almost instantly after he discovered the Horse Talisman. 163
- Its restorative effect allowed Feng Xiaotian to survive Qian Daoliu's Angel Secret Art and escape despite repeated lethal attacks. 163
- Its protection differs from the Dog Talisman's absolute immortality: the Horse Talisman cannot restore a user who has been completely killed in a single strike and must retain at least a final breath. 210
Dog Talisman — Immortality
The Dog Talisman grants immortality, eternal youth, and true indestructibility. 49 210
- Unlike the Horse Talisman's healing, the Dog Talisman protects its bearer from eradication regardless of the enemy's methods. 210
- Huyan Zhen secretly possessed the Dog Talisman until Dai Xieyue located and seized it with the Sacred Dragon Carving. 210
Pig Talisman — Laser Vision
The Pig Talisman grants Laser Vision, allowing its user to fire destructive flash rays from the eyes. 101
- Daolon Wong describes its rays as powerful enough to pierce through anything. 101
- Bibi Dong's attempted extraction shattered the Pig Talisman's vessel, causing its power to transfer away. 111 112
- The power later manifested in Yu Xiaogang's mutated pig-like martial soul before Dai Xieyue extracted it into a new Talisman vessel. 202
Monkey Talisman — Transformation
The Monkey Talisman can alter its bearer's appearance and disguise its true form. 206
- The black snake known as Coiling Dragon used it to masquerade as a six-hundred-thousand-year Soul Beast revered by the Star Dou Great Forest's ferocious beasts. 206
- Dai Xieyue exposed the disguise and recovered the Talisman, after which the deceived soul beasts killed the black snake. 206
