Background / History

Bai Yu grew up as an orphan under Martial Soul Hall. Before his awakening, he spent three years studying cultivation methods and mapping his meridians using memories and knowledge from his past life. He anticipated awakening the Hong Ming Saber, but also discovered he possessed a second Martial Soul: Blue Silver Grass. 2 3

His awakening caused a major disturbance at the orphanage. The Hong Ming Saber manifested as a purple-gold blade, while Bai Yu was measured at Innate Full Soul Power. Bibi Dong summoned him to the Pope's Palace, inspected both Martial Souls, and accepted him as her disciple. 2 3

Bibi Dong trained him personally and accompanied him to the Soul Hunting Forest for his first Spirit Ring. Bai Yu chose a Spirit Power Sacred Wood to begin developing Blue Silver Grass along a plant- and life-attribute path, successfully absorbing a ring close to five hundred years old despite the danger. 4 5
